While my order is currently unscheduled material hold I have been weighing my options and trying to decide if I should upgrade to one of the packages. I know the differences but does anyone regret their choice? Why if you do? I really like the idea of the Electronic package because I think I would love the regular micro suede seats and still have Nav and the Sync 3. Any suggestions?

Definitely get the electronics package in my opinion. This results in you getting the sweet toggle switches on the center console to control exhaust mode vs using the steering wheel. Also nice to have turn signal mirrors, garage door opener, and improved radio.

If you're going to use your car as a daily driver most or even some of the time, definitely order the electronics package. The seats and the upgraded features are worth the additional $$.

Unless you're hyper concerned about weight or don't want to bump the car's price another $3k, it definitely makes the car feel less like a base Mustang on the inside.

Electronic doesn't have the seats. Depends in purpose. For me having the car be over 60k was a mental limit

I'd agree with the above

Yeah. I was not sure if the Upgraded seats with the convenience package was really all that worth it. the only dealers here who have any Gt350's wont let you in them unless your buying so I haven't been able to even try them out.

The Recaros I find comfortable but they are harder to get in and out of then regular seats.

Navigation to me I can add if I want it, I dont want the nav but the screen would be nice.

I will say I miss climate control I spend alot of time messing with the fan speed and temp. Im not sure the the electronics package does a better job of that.

I dont DD my car.

Doesn't both options get you the electronics goodies? I thought the only difference between the two is which seats you end up with?

Either way, you will want the electronics items. The touch screen works very well for a factory version. The back up cam is a must in my opinion these days. Gives the car that higher end feel IMO.

I have a 16 so I had no choice in the seats. I wish I had the Recaros but that's because I loved them in my Boss and NISMO Juke. I could live without the electronic adjustments and heated and cooling. I need to find a yellow jacket recaro set out of the base GT!

I went with electronics. wanted the screen, sync3 and navigation but recaros. Never been a fan of electronic seat adjustment, and dont need heated or cooled seats.

You get this with the Convenience package as well. The Convenience package also includes the mirror signals, Garage door opener, and Sync V3. Get a 17 and it comes with CarPlay and Android Auto as well. I can verify that AA does work with my S7 and my 17.

Things I noticed that were on my 16 GT Premium and not my 17 900A w/Convenience package are:

No Sub-woofer
No Blind Spot Mirrors
No Adaptive Cruise Control
No Pony projector in the mirrors

This is not a comprehensive list. In fact, I'm not even sure if the Pony projectors are even available on the GT350.

I can live without the sub-woofer as the engine is music enough.
I'd prefer the blind spot mirror but the small mirrors in the corner of the outside mirrors helps.
Could care less about adaptive cruise control. I have it on my Escape and NEVER use it.
The Pony projectors are a novelty so I don't miss them at all.

I would have liked to have the Recaro's but I'm a pretty big guy and long trips would be painful for me. The Recaro's in my CTS-V were much more "big guy" friendly.

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
I ended up ordering my car with the electronics package, while GPS is not a must anymore with cellphones as they are, the backup camera i find is a life saver, i am sure there are many on here who gripe about them the same way that they gripe about hill assist but if something can make my life easier and reduce the risk of damaging my car why wouldn't i want it?

If the car is only going to be a weekend cruiser it may not be worth it to you to spend the additional $3K. On the topic of the seats, i have sat in both the recaro's and also been out for a drive in the convenience back seats. I was surprised at how bolstered the convenience pack seats are, they are comfortable and would be plenty adequate for some spirited driving occasionally, my reasoning for going with the recaro's is because this is a factory built race car, to me the recaro's just are part of the image of the car, if you are going to track a lot i would say an absolute must. If however you are a bigger guy and can't fit in them its a moot point. I am 6'1 and about 205lbs and i had no issues getting in or out or sitting in them.

It depends on what's important for you.

I bought my car as a driver's toy first and foremost. My decision was whether to get a 2016 Track Pack or wait for a 2017 Base or Electronics package. The Recaros & Track Pack (standard in 2017) were must haves for me. I ended up getting the 2016 Track Pack because I could get a better deal on the car and saved money. Plus, I love Deep Impact Blue and that color has been discontinued for 2017.

All other things being equal, my preference would have been a 2017 Electronics Package. But for me, I really don't care about the stereo or Nav or touch screen controls etc., as I bought the car to simply "drive" as my weekend toy. So I'm perfectly happy without all the Sync 3 bells and whistles. The only things I do miss are the built in garage door opener and the toggle switch for the sport exhaust. However, those two items weren't worth the extra cost of a 2017, especially if ADM was involved.

Having said that, if I were in a situation where I could simply order exactly what I wanted at MSRP, I definitely would have opted for the Electronics Package.

I initially ordered a 17 with the electronics package due to the toggle switches, nav and xm. I knew the build date would not be until late fall or early 2017. I had the opportunity to pick up a 17 with no convience or elect. pack off the dealers floor. I was going back and forth big time. Both cars were black, so that was a non issue.

At the end of the day, the most important feature to me was the recaros so I bought the available Shelby. I don't regret my decision one bit.

I don't miss the nav as I have a maps app on my iPhone.
I don't miss the xm as I just stream music through Amazon prime and I don't have that unsightly xm puck on roof.
I don't miss the toggle switches as you can make the same changes within seconds via steering wheel controls.

And I saved $3,000.

Those toggle switches are pretty sweet, Recaro's plus the touch screen and the switches WITH the track pack ! Glad Ford made those changes to the 2017
