Caballus, I appreciate your stalking me.

I still believe many of the people who bought a Tech Package and are complaining about cooling issues bought the wrong car (early buyers like Hack excepted). I still believe the Tech owners who are complaining about limp mode on the Autobahn or extended extra-legal speeds in North America are, like it or not, operating beyond the manufacturer's stated capabilities. (It makes no difference that you can run the Autobahn all day in a Kia Rio - Kia never said you couldn't, but Ford did say you couldn't.) Anyone but the very first buyers who base their argument on early advertising are guilty of being a lousy consumer and not doing adequate research before investing in this specialty vehicle. Really - for anything you buy, how often do you see advertising and then just blindly buy a product?

So, should Ford have known better? IMHO, Yes. Is Ford guilty of making marketing decisions that ultimately didn't match the market? IMHO, Yes. Did Ford fix the problem as quickly as it possibly could? IMHO, Yes for 2017 buyers and No for 2016 buyers. If I had been Ford, every GT 350 ever built would have had the coolers, at whatever price was justified, if only to simplify the manufacturing process.

Finally, as a former racer and professional car tester, I've tried to get my Tech into limp mode and have not been able to get there. I still love the car every time I fire it up, but it's gotten to the point where the exhaust note no longer overrides my frustration with the crummy quality and the promised cooling solution. Apparently I don't need it, but I want it, so I can be one of the cool kids. (Pun intended.)

The bottom line is this whole situation is just like the 2016 presidential election: I just want it to be over. :frusty:
No need to stalk you. We have been involved in the same discussion for quite some time and you made your position clear from the outset...then changed it. As for the Autobahn, much of the advertising used European cars as the benchmark, to include the hype surrounding the GT350's Ring runs (didn't specify R, Track, Tech, etc). As for purchase, those of us over here had to place orders early, although regardless to when an order is placed, no one should be expected to data mine for a supplement to an owners manual to discover false advertising.

Either way, welcome to the team.

I think you are being obtuse. People are driving there techs for long periods of times with no issue.

And people have had problems, but Ford cheerleader responses are that it wasn't meant for whatever driving they were doing. My "sarcastic" but reasonable question was really about "what kind of driving is this performance vehicle made for? Is it only good for granny driving. How 55 mph for 10 hours? How about 8o mph for 4 hours (San Antonio to Dallas).

This thread was created as a means for people who bought the Tech pack/base to share their concerns and issues and discuss possible fixes

We know you have nothing to add, and that completely and unquestionably defend Ford. None of this is relative to you because your vehicle isn't broken.

If you are tried of reading our views, then the simple fix is to stop clicking in the these threads.

I would retort leaving you to your views is why "some" people bought techs for light track use.

I dont even like ford or any corporation fan boyism gets you to pay ADM on a car that cant do what you want it to.

Any product is designed for a set of parameters, at work we call them use cases. You may not like it, but all any car sold in america has to do is maintain the highest legal speed limit in the country and the maximum temperature that can be expected at least from a strictly legal point of view.

My Order was in and unchangeable before the first "limp modes" were reported.

My views about its track capabilities were based on the info Ford provided me and that it should be able to handle at least what a lower trim could handle.

Nobody thought that ford would Handel heat problems with electronics as apposed to actually engineering a good performing car.

Similarly, when I called FP (after it was too late to change) they said it should have no problem on the Autobahn...ha!

I wish you had that in writing.

I drove my 2003 3-Series from Ramstien to Praug at over 120 mph the entire time I was in Germany around 3 to 4 hours. Only stopping for gas and water closet. I fear that the GT350 would be able to do it.

When you ordered the car and did not pick the track pack you made a bunch of assumptions which turned out to be false.

As I said you if you are in Germany the use case is different. If ford sells the GT350 in germany versus them being exported you definitely have a case, Id look to have ford by my(your) car back.

That being said If I planned on being on the autobahn id of got a car with coolers.

This is the issue. If you know anything about cars you wouldn't believe that.

FP said you you car can run on a road with no speed limit with out the track coolers. Why would you believe that? Explain to me what heat the coolers where for?

To run at max speed you will need max power which will generate maximum heat.

Let's get back to how much Fock keeps screwing Tech/base owners over.
