Let's talk microfibers

So I almost feel like these things are only good for a few uses. How do you guys clean them? I'm skeptical to throw in the washer because of all the chemicals I use to clean. I've been using adams polishes. So far love their stuff. I know they have some spray to clean microfibers, but I haven't tried it yet.

Most of my micro fiber cloths are just for drying or polishing off residue. Those I throw in the washer after shaking them out and I run them on a full cycle, not a quick wash. That does a really good job and I have had no issues. No not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. This can leave some fabric softener residue on the micro fiber cloths.

The ones that get "saturated" with chemicals I let soak in a bucket with a good detergent that breaks up oils, like Dawn dish washing liquid. Just like the 2 bucket washing method I do not cross use them. These I air dry rather than throwing them in the dryer just because I only have a few and I don't want the heat to leach out anything that the soap did not adequately release.

As the micro fiber cloths get older I get new ones and the older ones get regulated to cleaning the mini van

I machine wash all of my MF towels separated by colors with liquid soap, hot water and no fabric softeners or drier sheets. I've heard adding vinegar to the wash helps keep towels in general soft. This works with bath towels, but have yet to try this with MF detailing towels.

wash MF towels in the washing machine using either a MF specific cleaner or those free and clear laundry detergents. Dry in the dryer on low.

As said earlier, don't use any dryer sheets but I use this detergent from Autogeek on a full hot cycle and have no issues whatsoever. Alternatively you can get a dye/perfume free product from any grocery store.

Always wash your towels separate from any other towels (like bath towels) to avoid getting lint, etc. on them.

I really like adams polishes towels. They seem to have one for everything. I think a hand wash than machine wash could work but than I feel like the fibers get messed up. They don't seem to do the same job or they get these little particles stuck from previous use or somehow in between. They are kinda hard to pick out. Not sure if anyone has had those issues. I ultimately just want to save my baby from getting those spider webbing swirls. Tuff job to do.

Throw all my Chemical Guys microfiber towels and drying towels in my washer by themselves. Even used dryer sheets on low heat. Haven't had any issues at all, even came out more plush then when I first got them.
