Just picked mine up yesterday. While i did not buy it, I was offered a 90K mile, no deductible plan for ~3500. Confirmed good for Shelby.

Okay bringing this back to life.

Just worked the final numbers on my 2017 today. Delivery expected in two weeks. Asked the F&I guys about the Ford ESP/PtemiumCARE plan. They said the following:

"Though Ford doesn't prevent you from buying a plan on their website, there are disclaimers that the dealer must read and disclose to the customer. The disclaimers indicate that Ford ESP/PremiumCARE is not valid for owners of the Shelby GT350, Ford GT, SVT/Saleen/Roush performance vehicles".

If I had proceeded with the purchase I would've received a policy for a Mustang GT and was assured that any claims I might attempt to file down the line would likely be denied.

The dealer read the disclosures directly to me...and they've been a stand-up shop all the way through. I've got reason to believe them.

Also asked about "Wheel and Tire" protection plans, was told there were no offerings for this car.

On the one hand this saves me a few thousand bucks....on the other hand....bummer.

That would suck if it's true. I like to read the fine print, but could not find it readily available anywhere regarding these Ford maintenance/warranty plans.

Confused right now because they have to input the VIN # for these plans, and they come back as valid by Ford.

My dealer specifically told me at the time of purchase that Ford ESP plans are not available for the GT350.

I sent an email to flood fords esp guy...his name is Gardiner, asking him if the GT350 was included in the Ford premium care esp. He sent back confirmation that it is.....I purchased the 8 yr/ 48000 mile , zero deductible for $845

My selling dealer also confirmed the Ford esp premium package was viable on the GT350. There cost was a bit over $1000, so I went with Flood Ford

Received the contract today and email that my VIN has been accepted by Ford and active

It was the only thing my dealer did not try and push me to buy. "Why would you want to pay in advance for maintenance you need down the line?". I was not buying any of that extra stuff anyway but found it odd that they didn't push it.

Interesting...and confusing. I'll have to see if I can find any language exempting/preventing GT350 coverage....because now I'm curious...

That's the same thing my dealer read to me....I wonder if they're referring to non-Ford produced/modified models. Like a "Shelby GT350" from a model year when the car was a post production upgrade.

Im a finance manager for Ford. The GT350 is ELIGIBLE. It requires a vin number through a system called ESP E-Pricing in our FMCDealer site. When you put in the VIN# it gives a list of anything available, it also states at the top the vin and trim, including "5.2L..." Anyone needing a policy can PM me if you're ready to purchase I'm more than happy to help.

They have payment in full or 0% for up to 24 mo with 10% down.

I purchased the ESP by calling The Ford ESP number direct. Most dealers will try and sell you an overpriced third party pile of shit. Don't fall for it. They tried to get me for almost 4K. I called and gave them my 2017 vin and now covered until 2024 and 80k miles for 1800.

Thanks everyone. Just threw a follow up message out to my dealer. I'm convinced the ineligible cars are post-title modified vehicles...which makes total sense really.

Yup, only interested in FordESP. Good to know that this can be worked out. I only had about 10mins to chat with my dealer contact today so that didn't help either!
