Those with Factory Remote Start.

My 2017 auto came with factory remote start. Some arent happy with the range of the factory fob and want more distance. I added DEI SmartStart to my mustang. Its the phone app that lets you start the car from virtually anywhere.

Just some info in case others arent happy with the distance and wanted to see if there were other options.

correct.... add the extra stuff needed and install... its close to 500-600..... smart start can be done for under $300 installed....

over the last 6 months the service has really improved.... VERY few issues now...

nope!!!! just the SmartStart piece and a Dball2.... the Dball2 communicates to the car from the smart start....

they are around $110 or so online.. and the bypass is another 60 or so..... any competent installer can install this in under an hour.... just 6 wires.... took me about 20 min....

not all of the auto's have remote start.... i have a few friends with 2015's without remote start.

we have casino's here in kc... employee parking isnt close.... winter time... start it 10 min before shift ends... windows are defrosted and car is warm when you get to it...

So i assume the employee parking lot is fenced in and guarded....because i dont feel confortable about having my car running and I'm no where near it!

Can't put the car in gear and drive away without the keyfob. Unless the mustang is different from other cars with favtory remote start.
