Thanks to Kent Mustang for a photo from a '17 that's just landed with them (and they also confirmed Sync 3 IS standard)

The thing about the nearside passenger mirror issue being fixed was also tagged onto the rumour about the handbrake/cup holders... so that's probably bullshit too!

Lol, regarding the mirror, I thought I was sitting too near the steering wheel .... Thought it was bloody strange never had that issue with a car, the missus keeps wondering why I'm looking at the back of her neck when I try to reverse ......

Damn those internet myths ....I raised this point in another post. We know the handbrake is still positioned in another county so all we need now to create the full house of "sod it it's only the RHD market " clean sweep is the mirrors to be LHD spec in the new MY17!

If you can see things in your mirrors you're not going fast enough :D:D

I wouldn't have expected them to do this anyway. If they are going to do it I would think it would happen as part of a bigger change - a mid cycle refresh or the 7th gen car rather than a typical minor model year update.

As much as people make quite a big deal about it (granted, it is quite annoying) lots of cars are the same.

Won't ever happen on this model.

It would be tantamount to Ford saying "it IS an issue but we thought f**k 'em , the early buyers can make do".

They can't even make a bloody decision on the power packs which require bugger all in the way of, well, anything really, and people honestly think they're going to go to the trouble of re-engineering the cupholders and handbrake?

Some people clearly have a much higher opinion of Ford than I do.

I think it's a case of hope over expectation. Admittedly Ford do seem to have their share of issues but then we are talking about a company that makes it money in the UK by shelling out Fiestas and Focuses in their droves and are not used to the demands of UK petrol heads which of course the Mustang attracts. However many large companies are the same I come from the background of Porsche where tinfoil 996 engines erupting wasn't seen as a problem and GT3's ending up in flames was a coincidence, However as soon as the Porsche fans voted with their feet they took notice but do we think that a small minority of buyers of a model that is less than 1% of Ford units sold (I am guessing) will get the same attention .......then no. However we can still hope can't we, so long as we don't expect much then we should be OK.

Got the confirmation from KentMustang yesterday on Facebook sadly. Looks like my dealer (not KentMustang I might add) has a bit of explaining to do at pick up time. If it doesn't have car play they can keep the damn thing as early Porsche 991.1's are looking increasingly tempting.
