I need some advice, not sure of the material of the stripes on the gt350s, sticker vs vinyl, but what are people using to protect them? My stripes are blue. Obviously, I don't want to streak or scratch them, also want to avoid a white layer on the sides. So, what is the best move here? Thanks in advance.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax. It's a polymer and doesn't stain or leave white marks on the sides of the stripes.

I haven't done my 350 yet, but I recently started using Turtle Wax Ice liquid wax. It doesn't leave any white residue on PPF so it'd be likewise for the stripes. It's also super easy to work with. Basically effortless to apply and a medium amount of effort to buff off.

I have been using liquid glass car polish and Collinite liquid insulator wax so far no issues with the stripes.

Get the Xpel done immediately. Do not wax before the Xpel is applied, Any swirl marks or Knicks in the paint they should take care of. The more they have to do they more it is going to cost you.

My installer told me to do nothing to my car. No clay bar of polish. He said they do all that to ensure the paint is perfect and swirl free for the install. Mine goes in on Monday. Full front end and mirrors. I'd do the quarters but my Corvette I had never got a nick back there and I don't usually track it.

I am going with a custom stripe on my magnetic 350, Xpel PPF and Gtechnique Nano. I have decided to NOT let the dealer do any prep b/c I dont want the paint swirled. Gonna get the car and take it directly to the detailer.

I tried that, but my PPF installer said to wash it first. The cars show up absolutely filthy from sitting out at the plant and being transported. They will clean the areas to be installed immediately before application, but they don't want to deal with an extremely soiled vehicle.

I use Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 to seal both paint and stripes, then finish it off with Butter Wet Wax again on paint and stripes. My stripes look like new.
I used chemical guys jet seal as well and it made the stripes look fantastic... Well made the whole car look amazing!

I'm not much of a detailing guy, I'm not doing any clear bra stuff, and I live in an area with severe drought, so I was super stoked to find this waterless wash and wax product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X04JRMU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've used it a few weeks in a row now and I just can't believe how great the car (paint and stripes) looks.

I'm using this Trinova product (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AAZ1OAE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) on the plastic trim bits and, again, very happy with the results.

I do "waterless" as well. They're out of Redwood City. https://www.ecogreenautoclean.com

I haven't done my car yet, but plan on going over it top to bottom this next month.

Anyone use Griot's?

https://www.griotsgarage.com/

I have used their products on my other cars and never had any issues with it.
