I could see not wanting it to stay in Track mode for liability/safety reasons but Sport should be allowed. Heck, it should be the standard setting. This is a Mustang.You can blame the government for this one. Jeep gets a credit towards it's average MPG rating by putting that auto-stop feature in. They only get the credit though if it is automatically enabled each time you start the car.
Not sure if it's the government or the corporate lawyers that have the stability control reverting back. But I think it's pretty easy to see how someone who got into an accident would use the "I forgot I changed it to sport" excuse and try to sue.
