[ame]does the stock one sound good, or is it like the stock pieces on factory cars with turbos (for example) that you can barely notice?
Here is the basic valve on my car. Filmed from about 15 feet away.

That is bad ass! That stock bypass is louder than what I thought also.

You get it and install it yet? Very interested to see where you mount it. I should be putting my kit on in about 2 weeks and I ordered the race valve too.I just ordered one of these and want to get some ideas of where to install it. I've seen it in several different locations. Just looking for some pictures if anybody has some. This is one of the install I've seen which looks bad ass but he's not running a filter.
I haven't installed it yet. Waiting to order the pipe from boost works to install it.You get it and install it yet? Very interested to see where you mount it. I should be putting my kit on in about 2 weeks and I ordered the race valve too.
You ordering the hotside pipe Travis makes or the intake he came out with? I heard he makes a pipe for the race valve but can't find price or any info on it.I haven't installed it yet. Waiting to order the pipe from boost works to install it.
When I spoke to your tech department, they suggested the Race Valve for 10psi plus. Im currently running 13psi on my D1SC, are you saying I could run the Proflow and not loose anything? Im looking to keep the noise down, although Ive enjoyed the rushing sound, I want to be able to sneak up on people. The standard valve flows like there is no tomorrow.
(hence why it has the same design as your throttle body on your engine)
I have personally enjoyed using it on my street cars up to 750rwhp.
The "race" valve was originally designed for well....Race cars. (1000+ HP stuff)
And designed to have two valves being used.

However over the years, the more "street" based customers of ours have wanted the sound of the race valve, so they purchase them to install on their kits.
But yes, that big bugger is a bear to try and fit into the S550 platform. Lots of careful trimming and you will get her in there.

I was going to just order the hot side pipe but I might go ahead and order the intake as well. I called Friday still waiting to hear back from them. You ordering the hotside pipe Travis makes or the intake he came out with? That's the way I want mine to end up looking as well, sick!
I'm currently looking to get one of these too. we should get a group buy for the Hot side elbow or both. the hot side isn't on the website. I've been in touch with them as well and they get back to me within decent time. they are local to me and they are a very recommend shop around here.I was going to just order the hot side pipe but I might go ahead and order the intake as well. I was trading emails with them last week, still waiting to hear on the hotside pipe. With everything else I am buying adding the intake is going to crush my budget but I would be in for a hotside pipe group buy!I'm currently looking to get one of these too. we should get a group buy for the Hot side elbow or both. the hot side isn't on the website.
