Anyone Bought Via Sinclair Ford In Sydney

Hi guys,

New to the forum and have a quick question, anyone bought their Mustang's through Sinclair Ford in Sydney? If so how was your experience? I've seen that a few people got their Stangs from Brad Garlick in Ryde and wondered how Sinclair compares.

I'm doing all my homework now as I think I'll be approaching dealers very soon for quotes! Any info will help

Hi Paul,

I got mine from Sinclair Ford.

I'm a long time customer and very happy with them.

The price is not the cheapest but Hamilton looks after his customers. They're local for us and very handy for servicing.

At least 2 others that I know of on here got theirs from Sinclair Ford also.

I don't work for Sinclair and I don't have any affiliation with them, but I would not buy a Mustang anywhere else. If you want to go and haggle over price and play the normal dealer V customer game, then go somewhere else. If you want to be looked after once you have put down your hard earned cash, and even after you have picked up your car, then they are your guys. I have bought an FG 335 GT FPV, my Mustang and another for my sales manager there, and can not recommend them highly enough. Hammo may rub some people up the wrong way, but his dedication to his customers is not something I have seen before, and I have bought quite a few cars over the years privately and for my business.

My understanding is we're not exactly in a position to haggle anyway, since the car has to be built and shipped over. You either buy your ticket on the Mustang train or you don't

Many thanks for those replies! So did they prepare your Mustangs for delivery properly? Fixed wire looms in GT's ... fixed bonnet pinch and all that?

My experience is that dealers are charging list price but there is variation in dealer delivery fees. So I think you should pay attention to this on any quote you get. My local dealer was charging $3k delivery. It's not necessary to get gouged on the delivery fee. It was easy to get another quote over the phone with a much lower number and that's who I bought from.

This is true, this is where the dealers make their real margin.
I got a 'discount' on my second Mustang because I was ordering two, but really it was just a cut in the dealer delivery charge.

So I've put the feelers out and got initial quotes. I gotta say the numbers varied by a large amount.

I did get to see someone's GT manual fastback in magnetic at Sinclair. They told me that it arrived yesterday and is being prepared for delivery which should be some time next week. All the plastic covers were still on the interior! Someone somewhere must be getting very very excited

Ordered mine from Sinclair and it comes in January next year. It's a different experience buying from Hammo to the others there as he is the performance car guy and can offer a lot of other options for you like dealer fitted exhaust systems and wheel options. I understand he will make sure your car is treated well at service time too so a good guy to deal with.

I haven't bought from Brad Garlick but met the sales manager through a mate who works in another department there. If you deal with him he is equally helpful as Hammo is.

Long time lurker, first time poster.....

Have ordered mine thru Sinclair. Was connected to them thru a friend at Ford. I'm a current Brad Garlick client, bought 2 cars thru them in recent years, but swayed to go with Sinclair with their "Mustang Garage" set up.

Hammo originally suggested I would get a car about Jan 17 based on May 16 order, but recently updated to suggest was a January build, not delivery, based on actual Ford ordering info.

Now just waiting for my VIN confirmation.

Finally got a chance to talk to Hammo, he spent a solid 40 minutes with me and answered all my questions. Absolutely clear to me why he has been recommended. I'm about ready to jump on board, will keep you all posted!
