2012 Lava Red GT Twin Turbo
New guy to the forum here, 2012 Lava Red twin turbo 6r80 swap. I installed mine last Friday, it was pretty easy except I had to shorten my charge pipe to the throttle body. I used the Steeda fuel rails I had on the car and they worked fine. Back to back from the Boss manifold it was a little lazy down low but in boost seems stronger. I'm working on the tune now. I got the bottom end back and honestly feel like it has more now than before and up high in boost It's fat. I believe it will be better over all. I did grind the welding slag out at the plenum to runner point in 4 runners and blended all 8 runners at the head flange as it was needed. On a side note my fuel rails were -8 o ring not pipe thread. I liked the Steeda rail a little better just because I didn't like the way the Holley rails clamp with the chrome electrical pipe clamp but I will use the Holley rails on a 4.6 I'm building for my other car. All in all I think it's really hard to beat at te price point on a boosted or high rpm high compression motor.

I'm shocked you actually know who Marcella is, but I would buy a berry first. If I wasn't machining my own.

Umm.. I have been around in the LS world for the last 15 years before I decided to play with my first smaller 4V motor.

So maybe I missed this why wasn't the evap hooked up and could it be? Debating throwing this on my 17na just because it's cheaper and im not afraid of a little work

Evap can be hooked up. I chose to relocate the solenoid closer to where the gas tank line is at beneath the brake booster.

Doesn't work. The Evap threw a code because of the distance on the electrical side. I had Lund tune out the code.

Right. It'd be custom and pretty pricey. Like a hogan
Marcella's are form and function. Some of the most beautiful manifolds produced.

I've heard of guys just leaving the Evap in the valley under the intake and venting to a vacuum port, but I'm not familiar enough with this stuff to know if it's feasible.

As soon as I figure out the heater hose stuff I will be relocating it back up top to under the manifold.
