You know, apart the chinese quality, it could have some cool implementation.
The downside are a 'proprietary' system even if it's Android, and it's only Android 4.4.4 with very few hope of upgrades.
But the rest is very cool! If I don't have the 8-inch sync2 I would think seriously at something similar...

In my previous car I had a nexus 7 installed, and it was great! Google maps is by far better than our crappy navigation system

Looking nice, bigger screen, good resolution. But Chinese and all the climate buttons are gone and probably only on the touchscreen. You probably loose some functionalities. But would be a nice upgrade. Sync 3 allows for apps too but there are not much in Europe (if any according to the garage where I did my mods) If I had to do an upgrade I would choose Sync 3.

Well iOS is impossible, unless is Apple that make it
Android is flexible enough to manage this type of stuff, but you need a really good community behind it.
If you have to rely on Ford or some chinese manufacturer for updates and bugfix.. you will probably end with car in bootloop :lol:

Indeed, same for me in the past "hot summer days" ... :rant:

To all 2016 Mustang owners, can you check your cooled seats if they work well or if you have the same problem ?

Maybe they have corrected the problem on the 2016 models (as they have already corrected the hood missalignement), and if yes, I'll ask my dealer to swap both front seat for that !

For what I know, no, they didn't correct it in newer revision.
Don't know if they applied the TSB on 2016, but users are bothering about lack of cooling and back of the seats very hot.

If\when I end all my project, I'm very curious to have a look at that Peltier unit..

That's the case on my car, when I use the climatised seat, after a while, the back is really hot ! :rant: :tsk:

I wonder if some euro guy asked to his dealer about the fix available in US.
It's not a risolutive fix for cooling, but at least the seat should not go on fire..

Very likely indeed. I had one of those Chinese miracle units in a VW once and it was a nightmare.

The idea is pretty cool though.

I have my back wet as well and my car is MY 2016 (built 02/2016), so I don't think there's any difference...

To all 2016 Mustang owners, can you check your cooled seats if they work well or if you have the same problem ?
