looks like a gadget, I prefer having the extra cm for more visibility plus there is already an indicator in the mirror (exterior) do not really see the use of this: the car behind sees enough with the tail light indicator and if a car is on your side they see it from the exterior one on the mirror.

About wing mirrors, today I was just looking at that: EU version is bigger ok, but are we sure that this means better view?

Comparing sizes, US mirrors have smaller height but the same width. Is the added height useful in some way?

Road an cars behind me are still included in US version size.

eeeh, I don't see the point... not even of having blinkers on the mirrors... (neither do I see the point for folding mirrors as they HARDLY make the car any smaller )

On our Lux meet, out of all the cars that were there, not even one folded their mirrors (i have only ever tested mine)

They don't make much sense indeed, I do fold them when parked close to the road and bicycle lanes though. Shame that the projection lights are ruined then as well...

yea the mirrors are TALL and I don't quite see the point... feels like a truckers mirror, you get a lot of road and skies... they're not particularly wide so you still need to take a bit of care going around with our monster cars

The EU stipulates a minimum size for mirrors... hence our larger ones.

EU spec Camaros and Corvettes also have different (bigger) mirrors than in the USA.

Is BLIS offered in the EU? It's built into the mirrors in the US. Would like to replace with larger mirrors if BLIS is an option with the EU mirrors.

Edit: Just saw the comment about the EU mirrors just being taller. Can't see any advantage to taller but wider would be good. Need to find out if the EU ones are really just taller.

In the EU we don't get the BLIS option or neither the ACC and all other options available on the US 'Stang.

But, in other section here, I read that in Dubai UAE they get our big EU mirrors and they have the BLIS option available.
So, something should be possible for you

Can you measure the width of your US wing mirrors? As soon as I'm going down to my garage, I'll get mine.

6.25 inches from inside edge of the reflecting portion to that outside lower corner (above the rounded edge); basically the width of the rectangle drawn on the picture above.. That's for a US BLIS mirror. I don't know if the non-BLIS mirror is the same size. I know the non-BLIS has a round fish-eye mirror stuck onto the flat mirror but not if that caused them to alter the size.

(those seem to fit the stock PP wheels so perfect for me ) ... but I remember you saying you had 23mm in front and 25mm in the back? any specific reason?! (not that I think I'd notice 2mm or 2,4mm in this case)

I'm pretty sure that blis and non-blis mirror are the same size.

My values:
width: 15,5 cm that if I'm calculating correclty should be about 6.11 inches. These are probably identical since the difference is minimal.
the height at the top of the rectangle in 8 cm (3.15 inches) and the top of the entire mirror is 13 cm (5.12 inches).

I think I could swap my mirrors with the US version without losing essential visibility

do we know if we have the internal bits and bobs for BLIS? (i.e. we could hook up some US mirrors with BLIS?)

Just checked the law book... only regulation is total area of the mirror must be atleast 70cm^2 ... which if the US mirrors are 15,825cm in width would allow mirrors that only need to be about 4,40cm in height. I'm guessing the US mirrors are taller (on average) than 1,73inches?
