Tuna Canyon to Will Rogers Beach

The route has been updated with a few more canyons added!
Something to watch out for is when using the route map on your GPS, it will auto reroute you to get to a checkpoint faster. Basically you have to open the route map, but not start it.

Let's start the cruise by meeting at the parking area in front of the McDonald's just south of the 101 on Mulholland Dr at 8am and hit the road at 9am. From there we'll head south on Old Topanga Rd to Tuna Canyon and on towards the other Canyons, ending up at the parking lot near the Subway in Malibu. After lunch, I'll be celebrating my birthday at Will Rogers Beach and everyone is welcome to join.

As an alternative to the actual beach (read: if you are not a fan of sand), we could wish Billy a happy birthday :cheers: and head to one of many restaurants in the immediate area for lunch

Searching on Google maps for parking lots with restaurants in Pacific Palisades, it reminds me of all the other beach cities. Developers crowd up the place with cafes then scratch their heads and think, 'Hmmm, where should we have all these people actually park? Oh, well, they will eventually figure it out' :tsk: :headbonk:

Unless you have some ideas, all I can come up with is our tried-and-true Subway in Malibu right on PCH. The shopping center it sits in has ample parking facing the street. We've easily parked a few dozen Mustangs close together.
It's about 8 miles away from where Tuna Canyon meets PCH (prolly 20ish mins?)

Who would want to drive a few more canyons? 30 mins for Tuna canyon seems so short! The canyons in this area are the best i've found so far, light traffic on weekends, roads in good condition, and some very sharp corners/switch backs. I'm a fan of Subway. Here's some other options I found with decent parking. We've had success on 2 other cruises, finding parking for about 10, in this area where there's a few eateries including a Chipoltes. https://goo.gl/maps/wsnvZtiCNo52

Cant make it, getting scuba certified.

On another note, rear tires are shot. 14,000 miles by by Pzeros.
And have shocks, springs, sway bars, IRS cradle lockout, Front brace, Jacking Rails, all sitting on my living room floor.

I totally wouldn't mind cruising longer...as long as I don't have to get there any earlier than the established time It is a long haul for me just to get there :headbonk:

Paradise Cove is neat, but probably over-rated and crowded. Parking is ok, depending on when you get there. My bet parking is $20 now.
