So I've just begun using the 0-60 acceleration timer in the dash and it is kind of hit or miss when I use it. I go to the automatic selection while stopped and click OK to start, it goes into the start screen and says "accelerate to start" or something like that. Then I put it in gear and take off, half the time I take off and hit 60mph and am shown a time and the other half of the time it just resets back to the selection screen without timing me. I'm wondering what I am doing wrong, why does it seem to be cancelling the timer sometimes? Anyone seen this?

Hmmm.. I have used the 0-60 timer maybe ~8 times. I'm with you. Sometimes it shows results, and others nothing. I thought I did something wrong. I'm not sure if I was in race mode or not. I haven't been able to get line lock to work. I need to be n the car and in a location that I can play infor awhile and watch a video on how to do it.

I'd like to see what others say as well.

I have not have any issue with it doing what you said. I am curious just how accurate it is.

I did the 1/4 mile acceleration timer yesterday at the track and it was pretty darn close to what my time slip said.

Those toys are all junk. First time I tried it. It said 0-60 in 3 seconds. Never used it again after that.

Interesting I've heard people say it wasn't that accurate but if it is getting really close to an actually 1/4 mile track time than I would think it would have to be.

It said I ran a 13.4@108 when I ran a 13.306@109. Some of the numbers were spot on with my time slip, others were just a tick off. It's pretty close though

The track timer is based on an accelerometer and a timer both of which inherently are very accurate. If it is giving you bogus results then it is broken and you should get the car back to the dealer for a warranty repair.

The track has nothing to do with accelerometers. Have you ever even been to a track?

Okay thanks, hate to say it, but glad I am not the only one. Was wondering if it's because I have a manual, was wondering if there was some sort of rule that I had to have the clutch in before I pres the okay to start button. Just curious what I am doing wrong. It is pretty cool when it works, but frustrating after taking off and hitting 60 mph to look down and its acts like I never hit the start button, knowing I did. Yeah hopefully someone comes in who has figured out whit it does this.

I've used mine several times, as a novelty, it's fun.
But to your problems , on mine I've noticed if the car rolls forward or backward in the least little bit before acceleration it cancels the run.
So if you go to set the engagement of the clutch and it just nudges forward a bit,,,,,, test cancelled. You must dump the clutch.

Thanks, the last time it cancelled out on me I was thinking I may have lunged a little. Wondering if that messed with the accelerometer and the start. I think you are right. I'm going to keep and eye on it to see if I notice next time. Thanks
