Yes, you have one , there used on gear driven auto and some CVT's .Thanks, I have AT. It said in the article is mostly found in AT. So this converter is only for MT?
I allows engine to slip an bit and raise torque.
What many here were talking about, is higher stall convertor.
That is when the convertor is modified so the stall point gets raised and putting you into higher HP/TQ point off the line.
So if stock is 2k rpm at power brake, you might see 2500, 3000, 3500 rpm units.I don't know whats available for eco-boost.
