Well ordered up my First list of mods,My plan is to use the cobb base 91 octane tune with my mit intake pipe and aem dry filter, and upr dv catch can, with an offroad down pipe,Does anyone know whether the cobb tune will cover these two basic mods safely?

Plans are to unstall Adams wg actuator,e tunes, trans tune files, along with a fmic and charge piping on passenger side come winter time,91 octane and upper 90s octane blend for a race tune, maybe a nice mpg tune as well.

My second question),is the map tune on the v3 more aggressive then any of the tunes right from cobb,Does the cobb tuner come with map tunes for the same price as the cobb v3 by itself?,Sorry for all the questions just trying to educate myself with this platform.Im not new to turbocharging, motor tech/assembly or tuning, just a little wet behind the ears with this little 4 pop, thanks a bunch.

Welcome! I agree with the above. Upgrading the intecooler should be one of the first things on your list as it helps support power mods done after the fact.

Let us know if there is anything we can help with :)

Check out our Ecoboost Mustang Performance Parts section as we continue to grow our offerings for this platform.

You need Adams pro tune if your going to install his wastegate, just a head up. Do not run the Cobb ots tune with Adams wastegate, I don't care what any other vendor tells you. You can run the ots tune, just leave the WG off until you can get Adams tune

And are you buying this unit from MAPerformance? My understanding is the Cobb tuner they sell has Adams old baseline tune on it. You might want to ask him first before, because I don't know the answer. But to start the Cobb stage 1 is a pretty good tune you will notice a difference. If you do get a fmic, def go levels, ATM, or full race. I think ATM is best for sure. Good luck

Thanks for the input,I dont have plans to run anything on the car until i install the new intercooler,I have everything short of an aftermarket turbo on the way.I know that the intercooler will be important to utilize all of the parts purchased,For now it will be the mit pipe panel filter and cobbs base tune,I did some back searching and yes adam had a better then base tune from cobb, but it was probably indicative to having the aftermarket intercooler.I have allready purchased adams etunes, trans tunes, custom actuator, upr dv can,Air intake kit, offroad down pipe and cel extension/eliminator,intake spacer, and tb spacer through c@l,And a passenger side charge pipe, that will be ceramic coated and wrapped being its made of aluminium,Really want a silicone unit for the use of stock bov for now,but gave up on the search,The dump will be ceramic coated and possibly the exhaust manifold.

The shop has a turbo mid frame windsor car so Im familiar with all of the variables in turbo charging nitrous and blowers,The info is vague still on the eco platform bassically playing catch up.

I plan on testing each individual part purchased, and removing what doesent show substantial gains,I may go meth injection prior to the intercooler to test temperatures as I implement different tunes,Its really just a few days a week toy to tinker with?,most of my time is dedicated to the pushrod stuff.

Thanks again for the good info guys.Once I start testing I will post results or but dyno results, trust me Im anxious,I have a couch full of hardwardware but I need to test 1 thing at a time!! Really love the car either way, nice peppy street car.

Well you will def need a pro tune from Adam if you do meth, and yes the fmic is important, but you aren't going to harm the car if you put the tune on first, but it def helps to have all your parts installed and be done before he tuned it. Second, make sure you knkw cobbs ots tunes are made for use with their parts, and their parts only. So yes you can run the stage 2 and 3, but you won't be tuned properly if you use other companies parts. Just knkw there is a 100 % increase In performance going from Cobbs OTS tunes, to Adams pro tune. And yes that is a number I just made up, but I promise you will say the exact same thing after ;)

Sounds good,Its such a cool little tinkering platform,I was also told by cobb that their tune was based off of their cai kit,Im thinking if anything I may be running a peach richer with my setup,I would really like to know what their afr readings are or recorded and compare those with my intake az winter air and the cobb ots tune.Az winter air is really descent. I have two air filters to test with there base tune,A factory motorcraft and my aem dry filter,All i can do is record the the enviroment here, right down my info and ask them when they tuned their car and what the enviroment was.I like to track the data if I dont I kinda get bored.Appreciate the response buddy.

Yeah good stuff, our 4.80 mid frame turbo windsor would beg to differ,I like over kill on everything, coatings are more then worth the time and effort, not sure at what point you think coatings dont work, this car is just something to tinker with, not really looking for any sarcastic tuner enlightenment this car really isnt next level stuff for me chief.Just a peppy gas sipper.

I've never seen a blanket/sock for the stock turbo. It'd be a good option to have for the right price. I hate that ugly looking heat shield.
