Call Ford Assistance, which is included for the 1st year of ownership and let them get the car back to where you want it i.e. home or destination. That way you can take the wheel and tyre to where ever you want to get it fixed. What are our options? I know the Ford solution is the gunk but what wheel fits on the front/rear of the GT? And although not ideal would using a front on the rear axle be acceptable to limp to the nearest tyre fitter? Presumably the EB is no problem,
Yes, that would work. I have AA also for other cars.Call Ford Assistance, which is included for the 1st year of ownership and let them get the car back to where you want it i.e. home or destination. That way you can take the wheel and tyre to where ever you want to get it fixed.
But what is the price they're charging you to change the tyre (if you were to do that)Being done as I speak. The foam gunk stinks of p1ss apparently - ammonia based stuff. May end up just leaving it...
Did get some juicy Ford gossip though whilst I was here :ford: will share in a separate post ;)

Further back in the thread I said that my dealer had investigated this for me...Was kinda wondering what the fitment options are for actually having a spare though...
This is correct, according to my dealer who stated 'Ford assist is provided by AA, but it is the AAs premium service'BTW I think Ford Assist is provisioned by the AA.

There is an Ecoboost space saver spare wheel available http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_mustang_space_saver_spare_wheel_kit_from_2015_onwards_f_KITSPARE25_c_1628.htm
It can't be used with the GT as it won't fit over the Brembo brakes on the front.
In the case of front wheel puncture my dealer checked if a serviceable GT rear wheel could be fitted to the front and it was thought by them that it could work.
When my dealer asked for clarification from Ford Technical the response was that the space saver spare wheel should not be used with the GT. This could be due to the safety implications of a size mismatched wheel or it could be an issue with the limited slip differential. My assumption is that Ford Technical won't approve the configuration simply because it has not been tested by Ford.
My fear is that even with Ford Assist which can be extended by taking the service plan or with AA membership if you are disabled by a puncture then the only way the recovery service will be able to move your Mustang is to get a flat bed. Even getting a few yards to just get off the road will potentially cause damage.
BTW I think Ford Assist is provisioned by the AA.
