Ordered mine from Glasgow, well actually Motherwell, first week in April and they still insisted that delivery is expected next year April. Hoping they are wrong.
Well I was told 10 months but then a build date of approx August based on prior customers he had tracked. So then add a max of 12 weeks from build and this makes it Nov (8 ish months). It would appear that the long waits of 10 months to a year are over however we are not exactly shaving months and months off. I am hoping for it as a Xmas present. The solo thunder exhaust will be Fathers day!

Who was that with? I wasn't aware of a Ford Store in Motherwell (I work in Motherwell).

Just be careful that this doesn't happen to you

And that's bollocks on the wait time, I only waited 10 months, it's a lot quicker now.
I nearly made the mistake of trying to order from my local Ford garage in Hamilton where the dealer said they are not an approved dealer for Mustang but they will get it done anyways. Asked then who was, told me it was Evans Halshaw so I could go either to Glasgow or Motherwell branch. So off to Motherwell it was - closest. Did mail Stacey at some point last month and she sent me a screenshot of my order in the system - with all the correct bit as I ordered.:amen:

My car was ordered through my Towns independent Ford dealer to the 'main' Ford dealer 30 ish miles away.
I'm the third Mustang they've got and mine is due in just over 3 weeks.

Very happy with the service so far. Just to prove it can be done.... just be careful

I heard a rumour that Scotland has it's own allocation as Ford count it as a separate country. An allocation which is presumably smaller than England. And as such waiting times are slightly shorter? Anyone else heard this?
The wait time for me definitely wasn't shorter, will be nearly a year from ordering to delivery. If it gets here as predicted.

Peoples in Edinburgh quoted me 9-10months for mine.

My colleague's CO GT is on a boat right now, he ordered in January. Apologies if I've mentioned that before. Perhaps it was pushed up the queue as it's a 2016 colour - and standard spec. Dunno. I've gone all fancy with auto boxes and ticking the options list, so perhaps those are pushed down the list.

Interestingly Etis has still not updated with details of interior colour or coils etc, yet Deysha at ford service has just informed me my car got to Baltimore yesterday.

Great news, just hope the steering wheel is on the right!

FYI Stevenage ford has a DIB GT auto with custom pack and silver stripes available. I was given an option of it but am waiting for my Magnetic with Sync3. Although it's very very tempting to have one now!!!

Well hello everyone. I've enjoyed reading all your tales. Just going to throw my hat in and say I ordered my GT first week of April when the 2017 book opened (just to get Sync 3 really). The dealer reckoned December and I've gone from hoping it comes as quickly as possible, to hoping it takes its time so that it's less of drag to hold off registering it until April 1st when the VED bands change.

Yes, I'm going to do that. It's going to be a horrible wait, but if I can last it out, that's basically the equivalent of free insurance for me every year. Three months of pain for years of gain... Won't be easy though.

I've got questions about whether the dealer options (service plan etc.) are worth it and where the good Mustang service specialists are in the south of England, but that can all wait for now. Good luck to us all...

Welcome buddy!

It'll be hard to wait it out, but worth it, we'll see if you manager it!!!!

Plenty of guys who can service down in the south, actually, quite a lot of them are down south! Fords serviceplan is ÂŁ590 for 3 years including VAT, which is 3 services. It's price wise 'worth it' however ford aren't the smartest so it's your call, i personally have one for convenience - but they're overcharging me so waiting to hear back.... :frusty:

1st week of April, same as me. Been given so many dates by the dealer and others that vary from October '16 to February '17. No way I'll be able to hold off for the new tax bracket if it comes around Oct! And even if it's Feb I know I should wait but I'll go all weak as soon as they say it's here and I'll need a small army to stop me going to collect it

Bronze, just read your mods list, theres a 350R steering wheel for sale in the classifieds at a way cheaper than usual price if you want to pick it up :).

Anyway, back on topic!!!!

7-10months is the current predictions for cars, now, this is complete speculation as no RHD MY17's have gone into production yet, however, earliest you could see your cars is December (at a guess), latest would probably be April next year (again, at a guess).

I'd assume ford will continue to refine their processes with the RHD cars and get a more consistent flow now they can guess the order patterns of buyers on 1+ years data.

More time to plan the mods. My car is going to end up with more aftermarket parts than Cher....
