PDX land meetup?

Hey,

Just putting out feelers here. It seems like most of the activity is centered on the bigger metro area to our north, you know the one with a baseball and NFL team ;)

Anyone in the Portland area interested in a meetup? I can think of some pretty cool places to have breakfast (Top O' Hill Café) and a pretty cool place to cruise to afterwards (World of Speed in Wilsonville). Could even go over the Canby Ferry to get there...:cheers:

Probably around May 21st...got other obligations the next couple of weeks.

Okay guys, two responses here (no one PM'ed me).

Not gonna try and make this one happen (at least on the date that I proposed). Remember, you have to call ahead (restaurants, museums, etc.). World Of Speed would probably give us a group discount if they knew a group of gearheads was coming in advance And you don't just pop into a restaurant with a (large) group and hope to get everyone seated together and get decent service. That's why they want to know in advance ;)

Still open to the idea, but I know for a fact that there's more than three of us in the forum that either live in the Portland area or live within driving distance...I'll pick up the ball again when there's a little more interest.

Meet: 9 AM, Top O' Hill Café, Aurora, OR, have a leisurely breakfast

Cruise from Top O' Hill Café around 10:45 AM to World of Speed, Wilsonville, OR, by way of Canby Ferry (it can take 6 'stangs across the river at a time! ).

We're gonna need more than three other interested parties...spread the word.

Well, I'm proposing June 11th...something going on up in Seattle that weekend? The event you linked is May 22nd ;)

If we're going to get like 200 cars, I'd need to find a different place for breakfast anyways :eyebulge:(Top O' Hill can't seat that many people!-maybe 50 if we're lucky!). Great venue though... World of speed can handle that many peeps, no problem
