I meant Friday next week, think i'll call tomorrow now though, to be honest though I've just had enough of all the worry now, the last few years for me have been a real struggle, I was hoping this car would put some happiness back in my life but at the moment I feel I've gone back 5 years when I had such a crappy time, one good thing though is I've made a few new friends along the way that I wouldn't have made if I hadn't started this journey even if it's not what the way I wanted it to end.

Will send an email off to Karen/Stacey to see if they can source a car of that spec for you. Hopefully they can, will get on to my dealer as well and ask if she can try and source one.

Thanks mate, means a lot, maybe we should hang fire though and let me get my money back first, something is telling me that's going to be huge battle on it's own.

In regards to waiting, no reason to, you're not agreeing to take the car, just asking them to try and source one, they might not be able to find them, worth having it prepped just incase!

Ford can't take your deposit off you if the item is not fi for purpose, it breaks on their end of the contract, they agree to supply a car that meets the sale of goods act, you agree to pay for it, the deposit is just part of that payment. You should be able to have the deposit refunded, as, the vehicle is not fit for purpose (Ie driving as it's not mechanically sound)

But I've paid in full so it's not the deposit.

I feel like writing directly to Andy B myself urging him to get involved. It seems like the kind of thing that will not get sorted without being escalated, which it doesn't seem to have been yet.

It's putting a downer on the whole experience, especially for you Twiggy but for me it hurts to keep reading this thread seeing Ford fob someone off like this.

There are plenty in the country now, cant see why they can't lend you one (I know that's optimistic!) but you never know :) Summer is just around the corner, this is the time you should be enjoying your car (or a car). This is not right.

I'd tell the dealer to give me a loan GT (surely they have a demo or 2). That or I'd refuse the car and try to source a cancelled one.

After making contact with Karen yesterday she thinks she has sourced a clutch kit from Peterborough or Southampton already and will hear tomorrow and is speaking to the USA plant to see why they can't send one asap as a back up and will look at a courtesy vehicle for me if this is the case.

This is within 24 hours when I had heard little to nothing in 2 weeks through other channels...

I would get Karen on the case [MENTION=21573]twiggy[/MENTION] - she has been excellent and is genuinely concerned to help which is refreshing!

Well I just rang them to say a friend could bring his car on Saturday to compare but the Mustang tech guy won't be there on Saturday to hear it, surely i'd have thought any of the techs could just say they did or didn't hear it and then pass the message on to the Mustang guy when he's in next, anyway yet again they said they checked it over but can't find anything wrong even though they admit to hearing this strange sound, they even checked the TURBO.....think about that one guys, lost all trust in this now so come Friday i'm pulling the plug and rejecting the car, even if they found the fault I have no trust in them sorting it in the right manner.
Just catching up with this thread as I have been busy and not on here much. Its the bit about the techs not being in on Saturday that took me from irritated to F'kin angry. Pick the car up and get it to a dealer that cares....or

email Andy Barratt. He is as high as you can get at Ford and will almost certainly get involved.
