twiggy sounds like a hunk of sh1t from their end... Need another car to compare it too? FRO.
I'd be kicking up a storm by now... And we all know how that goes. Eff it, get Andy Barratt Involved if it's not resolved by Sunday.

Definitely don't refuse, unless you have a backup planned. What's the exact spec of your car and maybe j-rowe14 will be able to find an a-like cancellation that you can hop onto?

I'd drive my Manual down to help, however, it's not a V8, and I'm busy this weekend with the missus :(

Give the Mustang team at Ford a ring, 020 35644444.

They've been excellent with me dealing with the replacement bumper, said they're the first port of call for all issues with the mustang.

Not hijacking your post but sharing your pain...

As Twiggy I am kind of in the same boat but didn't get the car as there was a problem diagnosed at the PDI the day before I was due to collect- awaiting on a Clutch Kit which is on stock order from the states - no commitment of timescales whatsoever...

Ford UK customer Service have investigated and will not get involved as the car is not registered although it has a number plate.

Have asked Karen to look into it which she has promised to do this morning and was shocked to hear what was going on (or not going on).

2 weeks after the planned collection date and very little news or communication - there seems to be a trend in our stories....

:-(

Hang on in there twiggy it will be worth it!

I could drop by there on Saturday morning Twiggy if the idle buggers are serious. Mine isn't the best example obviously but as we're pretty sure that our problems are different (and mine much quieter) it should do the job.
So kind of you, i'd say pop by but only if you was heading this way on business.

Going down to Poole to see my Mum so only a minor diversion. I'd still come even if I wasn't - need to get this sorted out whatever it takes! :)

Isn't that the very definition of registered? :D

In order to be assigned a plate it has to be registered to somebody and the dealer won't have registered it to themselves knowing it's a customer car.

Well I just rang them to say a friend could bring his car on Saturday to compare but the Mustang tech guy won't be there on Saturday to hear it, surely i'd have thought any of the techs could just say they did or didn't hear it and then pass the message on to the Mustang guy when he's in next, anyway yet again they said they checked it over but can't find anything wrong even though they admit to hearing this strange sound, they even checked the TURBO.....think about that one guys, lost all trust in this now so come Friday i'm pulling the plug and rejecting the car, even if they found the fault I have no trust in them sorting it in the right manner.

When they checked the ahem... turbo (:lol:) did you ask if they were checking the right car? Might just be my youthful levels of sarcasm and f*ckery, but jesus Christ. Who are these people...

I'd be worried... How they're checking a turbo that aint there for one... Next they'll be saying 'Ah yeah your Inline 4Cylinder engine is causing it' you'll then know it aint your car...

Sound like a bunch of f**cking morons, how you gonna trust their PDI is right, when they dunno what a Turbo is... EVEN I KNOW. AND IM A FKING IDIOT.

This stuff infuriates me, we'll find you another car, what's your specs (Down to the t mate)

I'm sure you've had plenty of advice now............ but, I'd suggest telling them today that if it's not fit for purpose by tomorrow you will be rejecting the vehicle and tell them what specific time you are going in. Most important I would ask them to ensure that there will be someone on site who can authorise a bank transfer of the funds back to your account. They might work out that you are serious then.

Well if I get my pennies back 5.0 V8 Manual, Ingot Silver (which is unlikely) or Magnetic, Black interior, Black wheels, not fussed about the other bits inside like Satnav.

I meant Friday next week, think i'll call tomorrow now though, to be honest though I've just had enough of all the worry now, the last few years for me have been a real struggle, I was hoping this car would put some happiness back in my life but at the moment I feel I've gone back 5 years when I had such a crappy time, one good thing though is I've made a few new friends along the way that I wouldn't have made if I hadn't started this journey even if it's not what the way I wanted it to end.
