Trufiber 3" cowl on

What's your impression on fit & finish otherwise? The only one I've seen had the gaps all over the place. While cheaper than say Watson Racing's, I'm inclined to save a little longer and go for something with better gaps.

pretty damn spot i'd say. I may have to push my passenger side fender in a tad when I get it back on but other than that it's pretty much on point. The watson one doesn't have extractors and personally I like the oem extractors and where they are positioned on the trufiber.

the hood it's self though seems like a well built solid piece. The paint guys didn't have much complaints about it other than they put some epoxy on the side rails where it had started to bubble up from improper prep previously.

How much they charge to paint

$550 for the repaint. that of course was getting the paint off and prepping it correctly and repainting it.

I ended up having $1200 in it total. Saved maybe $200 or so since it was a resale. Paid $650 for the hood and it was already painted. I could have lived with it and saved alot but the mismatch was a huge ocd lol.

Seeing your pics makes me glad I didn't order this. I can't stand the way it looks from the drivers seat. How much more room was under that compared to the stock hood? I know the watson cowl doesn't even give you more room...

it's more room that the watson from what I understand. Whipples, boss intakes etc fit under it.

far as you not liking it from drivers seat... well that's the american muscle cowl look that you get with a cowl hood.

pics! I can't believe how it turned out with not blending the fenders. it's about 98% match. you can only tell at one certain angle so far and you have to bust your ass to find it and it's BARELY any different but matches 100% with the roush. It's unfreakingbelievable what these guys were able to do with matching it with the cut off valance piece I gave them.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
