It will be definitely based on the number of K's you drive every year. Less K's will be cheaper for sure.Would the price be cheaper if the vehicle would not be a daily driver, never driven in the wet with a maximum of 5000 kms per year?
Woah, excess? That's worse than my Just Car quote, which is 1700 with $70,000 agreed valueHaha 1,600. I'm on $2,400 without all my mods. Which was actually my cheapest quote, all others were around low 3200s
Excess is around $1200 or so yeah its not the best. But I have no other option, the wonders of being young-ishWoah, excess? That's worse than my Just Car quote, which is 1700 with $70,000 agreed value
Just did an NRMA quote at just over 2000
AAMI 3600....
Most insurers do replacement for the first 2 years, so that wouldn't be an issue?I've been ringing around for quotes today. What I found out today is the 'market price' is set by the Glass' Guide. The 5.0 coupe is at just over $57K market price.
It is important to ensure that if your vehicle is wiped off in the first year and your insurer will only cover you for the 'market price' then surely you be out of pocket. Buyer beware!
I know with my insurer if they can't replace it within 90 days (I think that's the number) then they pay out the value. Something to keep in mind, make sure you read the fine printMost insurers do replacement for the first 2 years, so that wouldn't be an issue?
Exactly, the fine print and asking them is important.I know with my insurer if they can't replace it within 90 days (I think that's the number) then they pay out the value. Something to keep in mind, make sure you read the fine print
maybe is cheaper to insurer under your parents nameThis may be useful for anyone around my age, 23 - if there are any...
I used Just Car for my SS and they were good. They were good for mods. Just ran a quote and it's a very similar price.
With Adjustable excess at $825 the premium is $1517. Total excess is $1825 + age excess
With excess at $1725 (high but that's what I had before) the premium is $1130. Total excess would be $2725 + age excess
Gotta pay to play my friendmaybe is cheaper to insurer under your parents name![]()
