im having a hard time finding an inexpensive drag setup. Can you guys post up your drag strip wheel and tire combo with sizes and offsets for rears.

I'm seeing 17s will work with 305 Mickey et r. Called American muscle to order and they said no guarantee on the fit. They recomend 19 or 20 in drag radials! I have a base gt with procharger. Can't get better than 12.4 120mph spinning on 275 street tires. Just looking to get the rears for more stick at the strip.

I use 18X10 GT 500 wheels with 305/45/R18s. You can get the wheels on AM.

I am helping my older friend with his 2015 GT Auto with a paxton at over 600 to the wheels. He is having terrible spinning problems getting into 2nd gear and going sideways even with good track prep. But he can launch okay. We wanted to try these wheels but the sales guy talked me into the same wheel, 10.5 inches wide. Argh, they did not clear the trailing arm.

He has MTs, I think Strret ET Streets on stock 18 inch mustang wheels. I think a drag rear alignment might help. The inside of his DRs are more worn that the outside. But he did run a 10.9 with TC on. LOL

I think pats problem is. The suspension is unloading betwen shifts. Personally id look into some bushing and a steeda rear cradle if i was him. Better wheels than what he has for sure.

I agree, sounds like it's unloading. I would get ahold of BMR...

Ah so bluebeastsrt you know Pat too. So you think is worth following up on the fake Cobra wheels mentioned here (9.5") and going with 17s? and a softer MT tire?

But that would not fix the possible unloading problem. His car is a base GT. So in the 1-2 shift the suspension rebounding too much?

He launches okay (low 1.8 is a good 60' for him), his big problem is second gear.

BTW I am a big fan of the last Mustang update. It is a much better car. I want one of each.
