Just looking on same site. I think I found a knob I like. Did you order yours with the reverse locknut? Or did ya just pick up a nut locally? I guess its just a 12mm nut, so you should be able to get that at any hardware store?

Also, anxious to see if you find the knob "light" while shifting. :D
I did not get a locknut, and you don't need one. Actually, I don't see how you could really use one because the undercut for the reverse collar would hit the locknut. Just use the Loctite like they said (a non-permanent one, which isn't included with the knob, BTW) or I used thread tape on mine since I didn't have Loctite handy. Seems to hold really well so I will see over time!

Here's how you want to order it for our 2015+ Mustangs:

  • Shift Knob & Graphics Color Options: "Choose your graphics style"
  • Select Shift Pattern: 6 Speed with Reverse Upper Left
  • Select Adapter Thread Size: 12mm x 1.25 Recessed for Mustang/Focus Reverse Lockout, + $5
  • Select 12V Momentary Switch option: Do NOT include a 12V Momentary Switch
  • Mustang Boot Retainer: I do NOT need a boot retainer

This is my order. I did not make a selection for 12v switch or boot retainer yet, as I haven't completed the order.

And this is the knob. Should be great with a white car.:D

I was hoping to find an appropriate knob with a tri-bar logo, but no luck. But this a great second choice..:D

Love the look! Some people have complained that the aftermarket knobs are too light. I'll know more on that once I get to drive her if the weather ever cooperates. I did weigh the two, for those curious like me. Factory knob is about 5 ounces while the Speed Dawg one is 4 ounces. Definitely notice the extra ounce holding the two in my hand. One idea people have done is pressed in iron or steel pins, though I don't like the idea of drilling into my new knob and doing that, but if the light weight bothers me I might have my machine shop help me with that.
Any driving since install? How's the feel? Weight?;)

I've driven a couple of times, but nothing serious just a couple of trips to work and the store. Feels great to me. I don't really notice the weight difference, though it isn't like I'm power shifting or racing or anything :D
