Yep. Because a displacement number is all that matters in an engine. Not the inner workings or anything.

Next thing we know, you'll mention that DOHC engines are a new technology...

On The last z28 vs gt350r comparison tell me how much different they were in the car minus the engine?
They both have mag suspension.
They both have reduced unsprung weight. The z had carbon ceramic brakes the R has carbon wheels.
They are both manual transmissions
The z has years of IRS under its belt
The mustang has a new IRS (don't compare the first irs from the cobra)
The gt350 on its first year out took the wind out of gm's sails [emoji3]
The z28 has more cubic inches, more torque.
The R has less cubic inches, slightly more hp.
The R has more Rpm.

So tell me how will the playing field me equal this time around?

No doubt. I'm sure The 350R will stay the top dog for a while. However I feel chevy is out to prove a point this time with the next Z/28. Will that point cost $75k+ though? That's the question.

The z/28 was on a sedan chassis and didn't have the golden ratio like the 350...

As I said before the last z28 was NOT WORTH $75000. All GM did was take the vett engine put it in the z28 and put on some nice suspension and a few aero pieces. The GT350 is completely unique from the a doors forward, has a unique engine and trans for the GT350 only and has a totally unique suspension all for 10k less then the Camaro. If anyone did anything better for less it's ford.

yes the all new gt350R beat the Z. But for me ( if I were a Ford fan) I would be worried what an alpha Z, with a new engine, would do. You gotta remember the Zeta was old and the LS7 got announced in 2005. Not exactly cutting edge, and it was still within 1.5 seconds of the all new R with its amazing everything (because that car is absolutely amazing!)

All joking aside the R is one serious piece of kit. I love the lines. I love the sounds it makes. But most of all I love it's capabilities.

How is that more with less? The LT1 is a 6.2 the gt350 is a 5.2.
You act like you don't know the difference between DOHC and OHV. You do know the LT1 is the smaller, more compact engine right? Another fun fact is that the LT1 has a lower center of gravity than the voodoo.

Are you ignorant? Or just pretending? The crying over who's engine smaller and lighter is so lame. Let it go. Give up. Who gives a fk. The weight and outside dimension has nothing to do with anything. The only benefit of a smaller outside dimension has is if you were trying to squeeze something into a narrow frame rail or engine compartment. I'm so tired of people bringing up engine weight and dimension.
