Hmm, depends on how you look at it. It'd be interesting if the Z/28 could keep pace with the R with just an LT1. I'd call that doing more with less. Then once again ford will be doing more with less. Who knows?
Did you forget the GT? What do you consider that? Or the raptor or how about the focus rs.Ford is behind on releasing cars compared to GM. Kinda sad to see GM pushing out all these cars and ford just has the GT350 for now.
No i haven't forgotten them, those aren't mustang variants so i excluded them. Compared to the Camaro line up that gm is pushing out this year ford is behind in the mustang categoryDid you forget the GT? What do you consider that? Or the raptor or how about the focus rs.
I'm quite positive the 1LE wont keep up with a GT350R. So where does that leave the Z/28 if it stays N/A? It means they go Trofeo's/ CC brakes/ DSSV dampers which will raise the price. Just like the 5th Gen Z/28.Hmm, depends on how you look at it. It'd be interesting if the Z/28 could keep pace with the R with just an LT1. I'd call that doing more with less.![]()
That'd also surely send somebody off the deep end. :eyebulge:
The 1LE is going to be about 20k less than the R, so it better not even be remotely close (FYI, I do not think it will be). And 1 dollar says the Z/28 is going to have its own LT variant. (it better lol)I'm quite positive the 1LE wont keep up with a GT350R. So where does that leave the Z/28 if it stays N/A? It means they go Trofeo's/ CC brakes/ DSSV dampers which will raise the price. I know and understand where your coming from but the GT350 and GT350R are faster then any Camaro GM has right now. I agree the GT is lacking in performance. I think that anyone who things the L1E is faster then a GT350 on the track is mistaken. And if the ZL1 is faster then the GT350/R who cares. It has 114 more hp. But with its supercharged engine it won't last long. I know it has 11 coolers and who cares, it's also heavier then a gt350 track pack / R. Soon the GT500/Mach1/King Cobra/Twister/whatever will be out and then just like before when the GT500 was the hp king the rest will have to play catch up. You don't see GM or DODGE making a brand new world class car like the GT. No one else is making a Raptor competition truck or a focus rs etc. it'll happen soon my friend. So what dodge has a crappy pig hellcat and GM has a zl1, l1e,z28. They also do not have the aftermarket following we have with the mustang. I always believed fords thoughts were to offer an aFORDable mustang and let the aftermarket pick up where the ford engineers left off.No i haven't forgotten them, those aren't mustang variants so i excluded them. How is that more with less? The LT1 is a 6.2 the gt350 is a 5.2.Hmm, depends on how you look at it. It'd be interesting if the Z/28 could keep pace with the R with just an LT1. I'd call that doing more with less.![]()

I dont know man. If the grand sport doesnt come with one and the Z/28 will, they'll be hell to pay. I dont think GM would do it to the corvette crowd. The 1LE is going to be about 20k less than the R, so it better not even be remotely close (FYI, I do not think it will be). Unless there is a new corvette in the works. Also the zl1 got a new transmission before the corvette did.I dont know man. If the grand sport doesnt come with one and the Z/28 will, they'll be hell to pay. I dont think GM would do it to the corvette crowd.
Yep. Because a displacement number is all that matters in an engine. Not the inner workings or anything. How is that more with less? The LT1 is a 6.2 the gt350 is a 5.2.
You mean DOHC isn't new....Yep. Because a displacement number is all that matters in an engine. Not the inner workings or anything.
So does that mean a Honda Civic's Type R engine is better than either since it puts out more HP per litre? You know, since you want to compare apples to oranges.
Next thing we know, you'll mention that DOHC engines are a new technology...
