I did the exact same thing in Suntek as well. The stripes are thick so you can tell a bit where the Suntek goes over the edge of the stripe. I do notice as heat keeps applying it is laying down closer to the paint and almost invisible now. The guy that put mine in said as long as they pull the Suntek up correctly it will not lift the stripes.
I'm having Xpel installed soon. My installer says he will not go over the stripes just up to the edge of the stripe.

I think that is a mistake. The stripes are one of the most vunerable parts of the car. I wrapped the entire car mainly to protect the stripes. Otherwise I would have focused just on the front. I would rethink this.

Go here to see what the standard Xpel patterns look like for the GT 350. You can have the application done either way, without going to the expense of a custom-cut application. I can't imagine not covering the stripes, because they'd remain vulnerable to chips, dings, scratches and all the stuff birds drop out of the sky.

I didn't wrap the entire car, but I did have the stripes on the rear bumper and trunk lid covered with suntek. Along with whole front end being covered.

It looks awesome and now I don't have to worry about the stripes.

You mind me asking how much the entire car cost? I'm a few weeks out from a full SunTek wrap and trying to prevent myself from getting cold feet...

I know you're doing SunTek, but just for comparison a full-body wrap using Xpel is $4,500.

Thanks. I'm paying 3k for SunTek full-body custom cut. 1100 if I only do the hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors. I know it's a good deal, but still starting to question whether to do full body.

That's a really good price. I don't think a full-body wrap is necessary for my car, based on past experience with Xpel applications on other cars. However, after getting the car and seeing the pictures of the dirty Lightning Blue car, I am adding Xpel to the lower doors and the area in front of the rear wheels.

Big time mistake Do the full hood bulk it these installers don't have the program or don't want to roll a 60 inch over the hood and cut it I don't use the program to do any of my hoods all custom easier and much faster to cut and wrap with no edges.

That is way at least and now you can go in a month and do more and then the whole car will be done.

Really if you don't want to worry about the paint chips, minor scratches and somebody using a key to your paint where no paint wax is going to stop that. For 3k it's a great deal I did mine in January and 2,000 Km later and about 20 car washes brushes at that it's perfect and remember the PPF will self heal in the sun or use a hair dryer or heat gun it will be gone in 60 seconds.

Also Suntek has the front bumper in one piece not 2 one cut were your plate would go not 2 cuts at the top nose.

Thanks, Derand. Just going back an forth over whether to do the whole car or front end only. It's getting close to too late to back out. I have a few confirming questions open that the shop should answer tomorrow. If their answers are what I think they will be, I'm all in. They do not use any precut. It's all custom.
