I'm not sure what the fascination with stripes is but finding the right car at the right price without them seems harder than it should be. Do they just peel off?
Thanks

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
yes, they peel off with help from a heat gun/hair dryer.

Its hard to find cars without them because they were part of the iconic original GT350 design so its in the DNA of the car so to speak

I ordered mine with stripes. The vinyl they use is so soft that the stripes had swirlies when the car rolled off the delivery truck. I have since removed the stripes and wish that I hadn't ordered them in the 1st place. YMMV.

I love stripes on sports cars. Don't know why, but different strokes for different folks. That's what makes the world go round.

It is so much harder and difficult to add them (fining the right color. Vendor, quality etc let alone installing them!) IMO... than to sit there and remove them..

Everyone has their own tastes. For me, stripes are a must have and make a great looking car look even better. A Shelby just isn't a Shelby without the stripes. ;)

Racing stripes suit the GT350 well, the iconic shape is brought out more and sort of pops. Looks good without too you've got a great wide stance of a sports car.

I had a friend follow me in my GT350 (white/blue stripe) while I drove the 997 last week. The car has incredible presence on the road, somewhat outrageous to see following you on the street.

$0 to remove them
$Thousands to replace (with OEM)
Yup - a fortune to replace (900 just for the small lower portion covering the fascia if I recall) The rest of the them over the hood are in the thousands.

I vote for stripes for the historic/iconic look. JMHO. :D

Good luck with your search.:ford:

Stripes tore when I hit a bug while driving my GT500 a few years ago. For that reason alone I went without stripes on my 350. Ruby Red looks so good without stripes.

Hey I've lived in North Port before, small world.

I've bought 2 GT350s from dealer inventory and they've both had black stripes. On the first car, I contemplated removing them the entire time I owned the car. I wanted to get paint protection film (PPF) on at least the full front of the car, and couldn't decide on covering the stripes or removing them and replacing them or removing them on the whole car. I had a stripe on the hood and front bumper get damaged during some warranty work and the dealer had to replace a few of them, they are expensive as everyone has said!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to remove the stripes on my new car. You can replace them aftermarket with supposedly higher quality material for wayyyy cheaper than OEM (https://www.bigwormgraphix.net/).
