Dashmats

My concern with ordering a Dashmat online is how it is packaged up for postage. They are not good if they are folded. You end up with a crease in the middle due to the nature of the product. That is why when you see them for sale in Auto parts shops they are hanging up.

I just followed up on the dashmat here Greg, and they are in stock and sell for $148. They have the red/white/blue bar and Pony emblem on them and there is one for the front dashboard and also they have one for the rear 'parcel shelf' for the fastback models at the same price. $148 each.
Mr Mustang 08 9330 7667 and ask for Vince Shervington. He has been importing parts and restoring Mustangs here in the West forever. I have not seen the dashmat yet, but will update you when I pick up mine. He also is ordering some Sunshields but none there yet. And he is working on a new bumper shield mat - that sits it the boot and you unfold it over the bumper before you load/unload items into the boot. No prices on them yet.

It looks great. Will have to order one for mine. Like the logo in the middle. Will have to talk to the guys about postage costs to NSW.

Tints are generally not allowed on the windscreen except for a small strip across the top. There are also limitations as to darkness on side and rear windows. Too dark and your car receives a defect notice from the police.

I illegally put a very light tint on my windscreen and it was great. Didnt have to use a sunscreen and it was way better driving in the hot sun. You would not have known it was there.

Im not 100% sure of the price sorry, as I bought a few things all together. I want to say maybe $148 for the front and slightly cheaper for the rear. Give Vince at Mr Mustang a call he is very helpful and very passionate about all things Mustang

I had a dash mat on only one vehicle in my life. And that was the only vehicle that the dash cracked. If you have a garage you're fine, but leaving the car in the sun each day, sunscreen or no, the dash mat increases the heat on the surface of the dash, IMHO

I am also fairly sure that this is true. Just use a visor. My old Celica came with a dash mat and it's dash was fairly cracked up, and also extremely warped towards the windscreen. I replaced it years ago and never used a dash mat again. No cracking so far. No sign of it.
