Hey everyone! I had a couple header-related questions:

1) Does anyone have any before and after pics of their catted headers from under the car? I have the Ford Racing transmission cooler scoop, and it's a close fit with the factory cats in place. I'm wondering if it will even fit a car that has aftermarket catted headers. I track the car, so the transmission cooler scoop is nice to have, assuming it actually works. There's no trans temp gauge, so I have to trust Ford Racing on that one.

2) This may have been asked before, but how much difference is there between header brands? There's a wide price difference between, say, Stainless Power and Kooks.

3) Those that have headers and track the car--have you had any issues? I don't want to install headers and find out later that the tune may be too much for track work or there will be a big increase in temps or anything.

4) Is there any real difference in sound between brands or sizes? I assume there's a difference in sound between catted and off-road, but what about 1 3/4 versus 1 7/8, or different brands?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have had both stainless and now have arh. both are great but the arh is slightly deeper and quality is a little better. I also think arh was easier to install

Thanks for the help guys! It definitely looks like the scoop won't fit with headers, which is a bit of a downer. I appreciate the info on ARH vs SW as well.

I was looking at the pictures again, and I'm still not sure if I would be able to run the transmission cooler scoop or not. The issue is that the support bar for the scoop bolts into the black rails underneath the car, and I can't tell if the exhaust is in the way or not. I circled the areas where the scoop bolts in and I also have a picture of the bottom of a display car with the scoop on it, but I can't tell from the pictures if the exhaust is low enough to be in the way or not. Can you guys tell if you would be able to run a bar across the bottom where the scoop bolts up without touching the headers? The bar runs between the black rails, not underneath it. It attaches around the rails like this, and the scoop support runs in between:

Sorry for the crude drawing. :)

Thanks again for the help!

I've heard stories that those transmission scoop coolers don't help much. Have you verified that yours does? The point of it clearing may be mute.

I really have no idea. Short of rigging up some sort of transmission temp gauge, I don't really know how I could effectively measure.

How do you tame the sound with the catless and corsas? How do you plan to pass emissions? Do you think your setup is too loud? At what RPM does it start yelling at ppl? Sorry for the barrage of questions, I just ordered catless headers and I'm having second thoughts.

I dont tame it. I just dont step on it all the time or WOT everytime i drive. If there's a cop I do quick shifts to go higher gear. 1st 2nd 5th.

Emissions wont need smog for 6 years and i still have my stock headers.

Usually 3k - 4k when it starts to scream. I went w no cats because I am going FI

Stainless Power 3" catless leads to full 3" SOLO Mach Thunder catback.:eyebulge:

Here's a ground level pic of my headers. You can see the black bar that you're talking about. It may clear after all.

Cool. I might be able to handle it. I think here in TX we have to do emissions yearly, but I'll check on that. Do you daily yours?

I dont daily mine but i drive it at least once or twice a week. Corsa on highway speed is the best. Only when you step on it is when it wants to scream even w the off road headers. Still no Drone zero drone

I did.

I even broke out the level to make sure my entire exhaust setup was level all the way out the back
