One week (within the last 2 months) the same guy goodwin gave the mustang a good write up and pretty much loved it, was a bit baffled when i read his latest one. Probably just the sub headline that stood out, hardly worth comparing:crazy:

Lol, has he really just tried to warrant the buying of a 30-40k car based on if a 90 year old can go shopping in it?

No.
His copy is perfectly reasonable. He has a d1ck of an editor who has read the first para and made up some stupid head/strap lines. The sort of people who reverse a pic because it looks better on the page.

Somewhat, he does state that it's more resonable for going shopping in and getting in and out of if you have elderly family, i doubt you'd drive your family in either to be quite honest, some might (like the post above) but nobody is really buying them as taxi's/chauffer cars are they .

It's an incredibly silly comparrison to make between two cars that are obviously of two completley different target markets, the Mustang is a Pong/muscle/sports car (not debating which), the GLA is a small SUV, like the Juke, they're meant to have more room. It's like saying, 'The VW Caddy beats the LaFerarri inside out' because Dave the builder can fit all his tools in his caddy but not the LaFerarri... Useless comparrisons. :headbonk:

He didn't make a comparison. He said last week I had a Mustang, this week I have a 4x4. It's a point of conversation that his Mum found getting in and out of an SUV easier than the Mustang; not a back to back test.

I used to take my old Mum shopping on sat mornings as well. She found my Chevy Blazer and 300C easy to get in and out of but she still nagged me to get a Mustang over our Waitrose coffee. She died 15 months ago before I could get the car but in other ways she made it easier for me to afford. She was 86 and would have loved to rock up to the disabled spaces at Waitrose in my Race Red V8 Vert. The car she always wanted.

Odd comparison to make and slightly useless in some sense agreed when you put it like that the editor makes it look stupid.

Sorry to hear about your mother, keep the passenger seat free she'll ride shotgun with you for life.
