ALL:

I have a 2016 base GT, whose suspension I am going to upgrade. I am thinking of either the Street Handling Pack (PP with 5300-X springs) or the Track Handling Pack.

Of course my preference will be for the latter, but I do need to daily drive the car. Can any of you who have upgraded to the Track Handling Pack tell me how the ladies in your life have responded? Does it pass the wife/daughter/girlfriend test? It would be perfect if they didn't even notice the difference. If it doesn't, then I am probably going to go for the Street Handling Pack.

Thanks in advance for this very important info.

<------ wife.

<----- has street lowering springs

<----- can barely tell any difference in riding comfort from my stock GTPP springs. perfect level of daily comfort and ability to bitchslap a corner.

I have the PP on my GT and consider the track much better behaved than the suspension that came with the car

Well, TheDivaDanielle, couldn't ask for anything more than this!!

To clarify, just the springs were changed? Or the whole suspension? If just the springs, which ones?

Thanks,

Craig

since i have the GT Performance Package, just the springs (X aka Street) were changed, as they are specifically designed to work with stock dampers.

Rides a million times better than my Brembo/GTPP '13 did with using Ford's "K" Springs on that car.

I have the track pack with Steeda UltraLight linear springs. My wife has no problem with it. It's stiff but not jarring in anyway.

I just installed this tonight. But only on rear. Mañana doing front. BIG difference. Definitely recommend when comparing to stock.

That is correct. The included springs are still progressive. Linear springs in my opinion perform better on this car. In addition the Steeda springs dropped the car another 1/2 which provides a more aggressive stance.

Here is a pic.

My mom doesn't mind how my car rides, I have the steeda ultralite springs paired with the PP dampers, and that combination rides a bit harsher than the ford racing combos. I have adjustable coil-overs coming and those will be another different story.

If you are looking for more street performance, being able to have some fun on normal roads with twists and bends, I would get the street handling pack.

If you are looking to do a bit more tracking and you are looking to sacrifice a slight bit of comfort for a bit better performance on "more perfect" roads, the track handling pack will be the choice for you.

Essentially, the street handling pack will do better on street roads (obivously), itll dampen the imperfections in the road better than the track handling pack will.

If you want to take the track handling pack to the next level, order that with steeda ultralite linears or the BMR handling springs. Those are two great linear springs that pair well with the car, the linear springs are probably borderline non-wife approved.

You will not be disappointed with the street handling pack.

For your worries, this is what I would recommend:

Street Handling Pack: https://fordracingpartsbydonwood.co...4-WfdmAkqyhiKqZCI1xx-lqN7tb71QA-KBxoC7nDw_wcB

Ford Racing Toe-to-Knuckle Bearing: http://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-rac...nYRoGuMWrW9glDKBawiQ43HxtvU1WWNZFtBoCE6Pw_wcB

BMR Front Strut Camber Adjustment bolts: http://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=1585

Youll be looking at around $1,050, i think you'll enjoy the outcome. You'll need an alignment, the camber bolt replaced the top strut bolt. As far as alignment goes, I would go:

Front: -.02 Total Toe (-.01 each side)
Front: -1.1 Degrees Camber
Front: Maxed out caster on stock adjustment, value may very but should be 7 +- .5)
Rear: .24 Total Toe (+.12 each side)
Rear: -1.5 Degrees Camber

Alignment specs are OEM PP specs, .1 less front camber and .01 less toe on the front, will allow for slightly better turn in. Its all well within spec, but it'll give you some better front road feel.

I came from an E92 BMW on coilovers to a performance package GT.

My wife always complained about the BMW's ride, but never complained about the stock PP GT ride.

I switched to BMR springs to lower the car and she didn't even notice the difference.

The ride can get a little bouncy but it's not harsh. Passes the wife test for me.
