Ha ha, thanks. I am actually delighted that you guys read my thread.

I feel like I need to change a bit and stop talking about the car (cos everyone knows I love it) and start talking about what its like to own and live with it....how it 'feels'
Talk about whatever you like with the car, it makes me all happy and giddy hearing people talk about it, as long as they're not sl4gging it off without a clue in the world :headbonk:

Yes, thanks for that Steve.

I already know, a week after putting down my deposit, that I'm going to love my Mustang but in my head I'm always blasting down some straight empty road with great scenery and the sun is blazing down (possibly with a blonde half my age in the passenger seat) !

I want to be convinced that when I'm sat bumper to bumper in stationary traffic on my daily 9 mile commute that I'm still going to feel the same way...

I'm still toying with keeping my Insignia for the boring driving but ideally I'd like the Mustang to be my daily driver.
It's good to hear that you're still enjoying the whole Mustang experience every day !

No worries, I will carry on until nobady read and probably will even then!

My Stang is my daily driver, its all I use.
Creep assist just makes it great in traffic. No need to use throttle, just gently lift the clutch as you need to move forwards and the revs rise slightly and you are rewarded with a lovely burble of the V8 as she shifts forwards.

I would rather be stuck in traffic in the Stang than the A Class Merc Auto I had any day.

The hills between Ashbourne and Newborough and draycott in the clay (A little more than 20mins from Nottingham) are a great drive in the summer, just a shame they whacked a 50mph avg speed check in the middle of one of the routes! :headbonk:. Just drive to Ashbourne and tell your satnav to drive you to Yoxall, it should take you down the roads i'm speaking off, brilliant driving roads!

Same here except the blonde is definitely not half my age, only a couple of years younger (I'm no Jimmy Saville)

Nice little review Steve! Enjoyed that...I echo what you are saying though, any excuse to go for a drive. On a couple of occasions I have driven miles out of my way just to get petrol

Also, your post reminded me...the meet this Sunday - will be 3 months to the day I picket mine up :) does that mean I also have to do a 3 month review? Judging by my last one, it may turn out as a small novel!

Agree, I use mine everyday for a commute into London, so I'm often in traffic, but still love the journey as I'm in my 'stang :)

It's even better when the M40 clears, or when I leave the motorway and hit the country roads :D

I'm fifty this year so a blonde half my age wouldn't be much interest to Operation Yewtree.
My Mustang is going to be a big red V8 powered mid-life crisis I reckon ! :D

I'm 50 too this year and yes the Mustang is a little treat to myself
Shame the dealer cocked it up but at least it should be built in time , just not here.
Obviously a good year 66 ! Always wanted one just got to be patient...........

A few of us 50 this year -hope to have my car for my birthday in June- it's now built so fingers crossed. Mine is not a mid life crisis as not yet really grown up & still ride motorbikes & currently in Canada skiing. Life is too short to not have fun.

Buying a V8 Mustang in your 50's is the opposite of a crisis. Not being able to buy one, now that's a crisis :D

Never done the skiing thing well after one go at ski school about 5 years ago that was it !, but I also ride motorbikes. Don't think it's a mid life crisis for me either.
