Ha, totally, wasnt sure if our resident dealer commented on it, i just thought surely the dealers got everything to do with it, and them blaming ford is there 'excuse' out if delivery takes ages, so they can build up 6/10 cars rather than bring up 2 or 3 at a similar cost

Normal process is to wait for a full transporter. As opposed to looking after the customer. Just make sure no one goes and drives it to your dealer!

Yeah if theres 430 miles on the clock before ive had a shot i'd be gutted addle: yeah it makes sense that way but just thought that could take a while if theres not other orders due to arrive at one specific dealership anytime soon

Yeah my dealer hinted at that, and I told him I'd be on the phone getting him to bring it.

The stalk begins, waiting on Karen to confirm the ship i'll be on, she's told me early this week so will chase on Wednesday, we're just waiting for the system to update with it having been delivered in Baltimore - which we all know it has as it left on 14/02 and is a day travel !



*No comments on my luck being that the last carraige was what my car was in and has flew off and landed in a ditch, writing my car off :lol:

How do you know your build date is tomorrow if you have no VIN, and therefore can't see your Windowsticker which has your blend(build) date on it?

Have you spoken to Karen & Stacey and asked for your vin? From personal (and others experiences) the timeline is as follows

Week 0 - VIN is released (usually missing a few characters, such as the defining factors to FB or Verte (1FA6P8 is FB)
Week 1 - Window sticker is released, blend date is at the top it's X/YYYY/DD/MM or X/YYYY/MM/DD format
Week 2 - Should be build date, car is built
2/3 days later (after build) - car is Gate released

Then after this the timescale looks like the following, these are the averages, some cars are moving through the following sections quicker.

1-2 weeks later, depending on train 'fullness' the car will leave to baltimore
1-2 days later, the car will arrive at baltimore
1 month later the car should deport baltimore
2 weeks later the car should arrive in Zebrugge
2 weeks later the car should depart zebrugge and arrive in Southampton (Same day)
X days/weeks later the car should be at your dealership. (some are bringing them up in batches, others individually)
Week 12 - Your car should be now with you, bum on seat, cruising around.

Could have been a provisional build date, if no VIN i'd be skeptical personally, however, I also trust Karen with these things.

You might have been moved to accomodate those who's cars got destroyed after some mumpties left the windows open and the snow destroyed them.

There's been another come to light - a forum member over on MFUK who's had their car destroyed. devastating!

Should be getting released soon, for it to meander around the medows of flatrock for a week or so until it jumps onto a train and heads down to Baltimore to meet the rest of the herd.
