The Americans never saw the benefit of sticking the wheels in the corners did they ;)

Rockfords Pontiac Firebird for me. Also Starskys Grand Torino. I'm a 70's Child! These are what got me into Fastbacks / Coupes

The best sounding cars I've EVER heard were the Le Mans Factory 'Vette's. A real American icon, I enjoyed their battles with Aston.

Standing at Porsche Curves, you could hear them from Arnage :hail:

Hate to be an anorak but Jim Rockford drove a Camaro. Burt Reynolds drove a Firebird in Smokey and the Bandit  I like them both though.

The Grand Torino was a total disappointment to me when I watched reruns of Starsky and Hutch. That car handles like a barge!

The greatest vehicle of the 70's was the Raleigh Chopper although that is off topic :D

I don't wanna be an anorak either but I have to now :frusty: See ad

I know what your saying about the Torino but I was young. Cars handling meant squat. Cool factor meant everything. The Torino was as cool as in my young eyes.

Still like the Firebird though (that handles like s**t probably too :))

Had a chopper; was a racing bike killer cause it was built like a brick wall. I know from experience! :headbang:

When I was a kid it would have to be the trans am, still would own one if I get the chance, but to be honest I like a lot of different American V8's, but at the moment I very happy with my Ford XL 69

I presume you are on about the XL, yes they made some in Australia but the vast majority, think they made around 500,000 in 69 where made in the states and as it spent most of its life in the same state as where it was built until I imported it to the UK
