Those on PCP, what residual value are Ford using?

Just curious to see what Ford think the Mustang will depreciate like. I definitely think the Mustang will hold it's value well, can't see it depreciating like other Fords.

There's still import GT's up for sale on the Trader for over £40k...

Ford may well err on the side of caution and use a low residual which could benefit those on PCP come the end of their deal.

AutoExpress has guessed that they will retain 54.4% after 3yrs/36,000 miles. Whether you should believe what they say is different kettle of fish.

9k per year and 36 months is £16070 on a GT Fastback irrespective of options or colour.

12k per year drops it to £15378.

Changing to a 24 month term changes it to £19671 and £19144 respectively for the mileage above.

Either way I expect actual to be higher by a good margin come term.

£16k for a 3 year old Mustang GT? very conservative IMO. I'd expect it to be worth approx £20k - £22k. That would leave plenty equity in the car come part ex time. A chunky deposit towards another new Musatng :cheers:

I'd predict they'll go stupid cheap, or become 'rarer' as less people will import. If the former, i'm definitley going to pick up a s197 and have it as my 'toy'

Would be a cool track car though! Just doubt they'd ever get as cheap as the E46 M3 which I've always fancied as a track car..

I met a guy last weekend who picked up a supercharged one for less than 16k with under 50k on the clock....

what people ask and what they get are two different worlds with s197....there are a lot of dreamers thinking a ten year old car is 20k territory - gt will be sub 10 shortly

I have mine on PCO over three years at 9000 per year. I can remember the exact figure but its around 17k gmfv. I can look it up if you want the exact figure.

Interestingly enough when Ford dropped the interest rate from 6.something to 5.8% this year, the also reduced the GMFV, making any deal roughly the same in terms of monthly payments. Before January they had the residuals at over 17k for a 3yr 12k miles deal

To be honest, i wouldn't care of miles and resale value at all for a 'toy' car, rather than a daily driver / investment car. Just rag it around take it on track days etc, gives me another 'project' to work my 'aesthetic genius' on (#Sarcasm)

An older American muscle car is going to require a lot more than a wrap to keep it on the road; a bit of mechanical knowledge and some disposable income would be required I reckon. That coupled with another insurance premium means it wouldn't be for me at the moment. After the S550 is paid for my better half wants holidays, kitchens and bathrooms. Can hardly deny her that addle: :doh:

Luckily for me my better half knows when to shut her gob (Holidays already booked with Fam / with her and paid off. Kitchen/Bathroom etc is irrelevant as my house is newbuild so kinda lucky on that!)

:lol:. She likes to think so!!! Nah i'm fortunate she loves Mustangs, probably will feature on one of the pics when mine comes as she 'Would love to' come to the pickup of it :doh:.
