Missed what happened earlier in this thread. I find your videos pretty entertaining. Don't stop! Pretty cool seeing someone local doing videos.
Thanks, I appreciate the support. I'll still be doing them for the time being, I have a few coming up that I think some people will like.

You are the type of guy that (some or most) people would want to listen to: fresh, cool and pleasant.

Did you notice any more vibration/stiffness that is not good? Usually these braces and supports add a little harshness, was that the case with you?

Interesting, so you added the Touring first, did that change the acceleration sound at all or did it seem similar? Did the x-pipe add to idle/low speed or cruising sound or just mostly to WOT? The reason that I ask is that I generally leave for work very early (4:45am) and my car is in the garage downstairs from my kid's bedroom, so do not want to wake them or my neighbors that early, but having some more heavy acceleration noise would be good... :)
Thanks. I didn't notice any vibration or negative effects at all. I looked in to that aspect prior to purchasing the parts. The fact that they don't is one of the reasons why I chose to go with Steeda.

The Touring did change the sound from all aspects (idle, low speed, WOT) it just wasn't loud enough from the interior of the car for me. Seems that the S550's dampen sound better, IMO, anyways. Which in most cases would be a good thing. But, when I drive I want to hear and feel a little rumble. So, outside of the car, the Touring sounded ok. But, the X-pipe helped achieve the sound that I wanted to hear from inside the car. Again, it changed all aspects from idle to WOT. It's not loud at low or cruising speed, but roars when you open it up. From a cold start, it's relatively loud then quiets down. So, if you don't want to wake neighbors and your kids up, I wouldn't advise going the X-pipe route. You'd probably be happy with the Touring exhaust. But, there are a lot of options out there. I can only speak to my experience.

Glad to hear that. I'm pretty sure I've seen you around town several times. If you see me flag me over! Too camera shy to be in your videos but I would like to check out your car. I'll make sure I have a leaf blower in the trunk.

Sure thing. But, if you forget your leaf blower. Don't worry, I got you...

Thanks for the info! Good advice! Since I have the convertible I would get more sound into the cabin, so xpipe would be overkill for me. Have some research to do... :)

Thanks, for the support! I've decided to keep doing them for now, just may not be on a regular schedule. But, I have a few upcoming. If you haven't checked out my latest two, please do. The Cars & Coffee one is pretty cool.

I have been running Steeda since May 2015.

I love them so much and David@Steeda they will be the only ones getting my money. Parts are top notch, customer service is the best in the business.

I am heading back, maybe as early as this week to get the rest of my parts installed.

My brother is a huge Steeda fan as well. I've been impressed so far. :hail:STEEDA

This is why I appreciate vendors such as Steeda, they post information with facts to back it up rather than posting an opinion.

Not really sure where you are basing that statement off of... We've always had two Ultralite options, one for the GT one for the EcoBoost. The more you know...

A few things to clarify here, as we at Steeda like to take the educational approach rather than stating an opinion.

Quality control on all our progressives are kept at a very high standard, rates vary no more than 0.2% of their overall stiffness.

Any claims about a progressive turning into a 'wanna be' linear spring are absolutely foundless. When we design our rates we design them for the base model vehicle with driver and passenger at full curb weight. Superchargers will compress the springs a bit more and move them further along in their range of initial spring rate but it's absolutely not enough for you to get into the secondary rate during driving around town, which is what progressives are all about. To support those claims our dual rate springs are designed to transition into stiffer rates at much higher levels of force than what you will be getting with static corner weight.

The plot below shows the S550 Mustang GT’s actual vertical forces at the tires during cornering. As you start cornering, weight transfers and more vertical weight is applied to the outside wheels.

I will say that we design our dual rate springs to transition to a high performance rate right around 0.4 G’s of cornering force. This is with a passenger, driver and at full curb weight. Adding a supercharger does move the point at which your spring begins to transition into that secondary rate, however it only moves it to about 0.3 G’s of cornering which is still much higher than you are going to see during your daily drive.

For reference, daily commute = 0-0.2 G’s, spirited driving = 0.2-0.5 G’s of force, track days and performance driving = 0.5-1 G. This approach means that our springs are ready to give you the support right when you decide to get onto the wild side yet will never damage your ride quality. Even if you were able to load the car down heavy enough to ride in the higher rate range, that rate is comparable to what other manufacturers are using for their performance rates on their linear springs, which have proven to ride reasonably well.

The factory actually does an extensive amount of work designing and tuning their bump stops to work well with the overall handling characteristics of the vehicle. On the 2015+ cars in particular, the stock units come very close to riding on the bump stops statically, which means that you are utilizing them whenever you are cornering. Once you begin activating that bump stop, you then have a dual rate progressive spring. This is why we never recommend cutting or removing the factory bump stops.
