UK Mustang delivery

Well I've no uprated coils on ETIS and I had a scheduled build of 19/01, emailed the help desk last week, no reply as of yet!

I've got no real idea of what's going on :headbonk:

It took a full two weeks after build date before the coils showed up on my ETIS, and 8 days after the car had apparently departed Flat Rock.

I'm not convinced that the helpdesk aren't just quoting Vista, ie what our dealers could do. I imagine they've got a bit more clout being further up the ladder than the dealer but purely for an update I'm not sure they're any better.

While the car is in the US we have the extra option of PM'ing FordService on this forum. Of course when the first batches of cars were in transit the information coming from the US contradicted that from the UK. So I guess we'll never really know where our cars are until they're in the country.

UPDATE:

Quick look for the window sticker, AND I NOW HAVE ONE.

Blend date, from what I can decode is 2nd of Feb. Fitting with Karens email of Build in W/c 1st Feb. 6 days till she's built.

Blend date is: 120160202 (Which to me says 1 2016 02 02, so 1 - 2nd of Feb 2016)

Only 1 question from the window sticker is it doesn't mention shaker pro on it, but does mention 'VOICE-ACT NAVIGATION SYSTEM', unless sharker is '1 2 SPEAKER SYSTEM'?


[MENTION=14613]SteveS[/MENTION] I think Karen/Stacey do look at vista, for the 'quick wins' but will also get in contact with the heads over at ford USA for atleast their scheduling teams as Karen has infered that in emails to me (That they're in contact with USA manufacturing and scheduling teams).

Haven't used FordService on the forums before, as overall Karen's been and is being great to me. Same goes for Stacey and Andy, less to be said about my dealer.

I got an update on mine this morning, its still classed as in transit to Baltimore, however delays are possible due to the recent US storms "temporarily closing the docks".

I know there are a few people here also with 11/1 build dates

Your right your vehicle is stuck in transit!

The plant has been closed for several days due to the recent winter storm. They are quickly working to get the units & ground cleared to resume normal production.

But this weekend it's gone be 6 degrees C

Yes, 2/2/16 blend date (mine shows in ETIS as the build date one day earlier than my blend date so your car may be built on the 1/2/16).
I believe the standard audio is 9 speaker so I assume the 12 speaker is the upgrade - that's what's on my window sticker.

My window sticker just mentions the same but Ruby came with Shaker Pro.

@YLA G yep, I guess boats will start running again soon, it's more a bottleneck now, the ports will reopen but then it's the aftermath of closing.


@mustangguy64 Thanks for confirming, good ol' ruby ey! How is the shaker system anyway? I was sceptical of getting it, but wanted/needed/FOM(Fear of missing out) bought the pack for the Nav


@SteveS Indeed, glad my memory served me right on the blend date - but then again it can't be that complex to understand when there's a lot of 0's and 2's haha! As for Build/Blend date, whichever, doesn't bother me as long as it gets on that train, gets the upfitting and gets on a boat (and doesn't get driven overboard), i'm alllll good

Well I finally managed to trace mine on the Glorious Leader on its world tour. By the time it gets to me it will be better travelled than I am but it's due to dock in Zeebrugge on the 15th Feb.

I'm pretty pissed off, it has to said, as mine was a Jan 2015 order that was always intimated to be a Oct/Nov delivery which then became January and now will be middle March at the earliest. The dealer said he has tried to prioritise it but "can't".

I'm rapidly losing interest in this car...

Ah okay, maybe they've held a few back because of the weather, who knows. Just thought it was worth you seeing the 'official' update from karen on it!
[MENTION=18360]unpc[/MENTION] I wouldn't lose interest, orders back in Jan were already set up for a massive wait before production had even started of the cars (Kicked off in august, and they had all the UCL cars to build + other markets etc), If it lands in Zebrugge mid feb, you should be able to get it early march really, the dealer wont help you, they're mostly useless in this case, try contacting [email protected] , it's in Europe now (or at least european seas soon), so Ford Europe should be able to control it a bit more now. Usual turn around from Zebrugge to you is like 2-3weeks depends on what time you can get to your dealer for it.

GT's got knocked back a few order batches (think it was like a month or so), as there was some issue with the engine on them so essentially, almost everyone got hit back on that, whilst EBs jumped up as they began producing them exclusivley.

Now probably isn't the time to lose interest, you're literally on the last legs!
