You could at least tune it! Get a programmer and a custom tune and just flash back to stock before you go in and they would never know. I had a ST with meth and stage 3 and brought it in and got some stuff fixed under warranty. Some dealers will let you slide with it.

I have the same issue as the thread listed below, but don't know if I should take it to the dealer with my CAI or should I go stock again. Any suggestions?

Yea, first why are you taking it to the dealer? 2nd if it is nothing directly related to the intake of the car, I highly doubt you will have any issues. 3rd. It's just a cold air and it can be changed back to stock in 30 min, if your that worried go back to stock..... I mean.

And what your describing sounds like the issue a lot of people are having when the change to a cold air induction, reason why I haven't pulled the trigger. Some say turbo flutter, I have heard Adam say something about the stock BOV not working properly with aftermarket CAI. I mean have you changed back to your stock air box and seen if the noise goes away or stops? That's the first thing I would do

I mean right off the bat, everyone on that link complaining of this problem has an aftermarket CAI. That should tell you something.

I have a catted downpipe and all the mods I posted before and my turbo was replaced 100% under warranty. I even had a vibrating issue after I installed steeda springs myself, dealer looked at it and noticed one of the rosters wasn't tightened down enough. Nothing out of pocket!! In fact I have an appointment in the morning. My check engine light is on after the turbo replace and I'm going to the dealer with all my mods, minus my tune. I wil post my experience and work invoice so we can spread the word around these things your talking about are not always the case. It's ok to be cautious, but at least know it's open to interpretation rather than fact. Dealers know people mod the cars and they aren't always out to screw you over. My point is, some of us have had positive experiences and I just want to know it exists. I also acknowledge that someone can have a bad experience, but I'm going off the facts of mine and not just what ifs. Good luck to all and sons of these vendors have been great to work with. Thanks, Adam, torrie,Bama,ATM, and the guys at MMR!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you ever make it by the dealership? What was the outcome?

Yes, sorry they left a vacuum hose off the person told me when they did the turbo. I guess that is what the check engine light was about. Still had all my mods on it, minus the tune and no issue

And I don't mean it in a asshole way at all, it's just like in my head, done body gets on here reads it in a wrong way and thinks I'm bragging that I have these mods with no issues at dealership, then they get upset and turn the tables. Now that prob the furthest thing from the truth. Lol, but that's what I'm afraid of
