Dyno: Boost Works Twin Turbo System

Just a few weeks ago we reported on the new twin turbo systems that Boost Works has been developing for the S550 Mustang GT.

After Boost Works finished tuning their Mustang GT equipped with the company’s entry level twin turbo system using Precision Turbo billet wheel journal bearing turbos, they put it to the test on the dyno to see how much power it could lay down.

The 2015 Mustang GT with automatic transmission managed to squeeze out 675-horsepower and 602 lb-ft of torque to the wheels at 8.5psi of boost with 93 octane fuel. This base model V8 had an otherwise stock engine with the only other modification being a set of Corsa mufflers with 3-inch piping.

The dyno graph shows an impressive torque curve with the turbos coming on strong at 3200 RPM with 600 lb-ft of torque at around 3800 RPM. And that’s just the beginning, as the system will be capable of making over 1000-horsepower right out of the box.
