I consider a C8Z06, but I wouldn't pay ADM.

A Chevy friend said he couldn't get one for 2 years, and he has a good long relationship with a local dealer.

With ADM, it will start at around $166k and will be another unobtanium. Who cares how much these things cost if nobody can buy one. Even stupid BRZ is impossible to buy these days.

Serious, My C6 is getting long in the tooth. I have not tried out any C8's so fitment might be an issue.

Go check one out. That experience alone shifted me to the GT350. They were close enough in price that money was not a concern, it flat out didn’t have enough room in it for me.
A buddy of mine bought a C8 convertible and he loves it, it truly is a beautiful car in my opinion. You also cannot deny the performance.
The new flat plane crank would not hold me back if I wanted that kind of performance. The standard C8 is a monster as is. I cannot imagine what the new upgraded engine will do. True super car performance, whatever that means

I imagine a track-ready suspension, handling, cooling, brakes, i.e. overall package. it should be more than just engine. 106k is actually a really great price for the expected performance. But again, it's all irrelevant because only a few will be able to secure one, at least for next several years.

If you're going for a fully loaded new Z06, you'll be in the $250k range after the markup

I’ve read that the dealers that are selling them at MSRP, are trying to include a cause in the selling contract that says they (owners) can’t sell the C8 z06 for two years. For 150k plus, I’d get a lightly used 911 Turbo S instead. When I retire I may just do that.
