I need to take some snow pics, but here is mine with my winter wheels/tires. Daily driven - and I get up hills that FWD/AWD cars slide down with all seasons. I wish more people understood - it's all about tires!

Those wheels clear the PP Brembo yes? If so, can you tell me where you purchased the wheels? Thanks.

I have to admit I threw up a little in my mouth seeing all that snow and dirt on the Stang but good for you sir! My Stang is in a deep slumber in my garage here in NH. I drive a jeep wrangler for the winter months.

Power to you all-season drivers.

I would daily mine but drive 2800km a month. Gas alone I save in driving the Civic is around $200 a month. Insuring two cars is costing me $40 extra a month. So to keep the km's down and mint condition being a garage queen. Not so bad for me.

Great thread!!!

I bought my car to drive it. I ended up selling my beater Toyota 4x4 because I was still driving the Mustang in the winter. I do have a short commute though. With the right set of tires, these cars are great in the snow. I enjoy a good snow drifting session myself. You really have to try pretty hard to get this car to lose traction.

I'm officially part of the club !!!

Not a ton of snow but this is what it looked like when I got out of work at 7am this morning. Don't look like much but it was snow, freezing rain and sleet. Difficult to walk on but my Mustang with Blizzaks did quite well and hugged the road very nicely.

Well, sorry to piss on your bonfire but I completed 100+ miles in snowy and ice conditions (up and down slopes, too!) and im still here to tell the tale. The trick is to have 1/2 a brain and drive to the conditions.

I now know a LOT more about how the car handles/stops/accelerates in the snow, so was very worthwhile.

My Volvo S60 on snow tires is available when I want it. Today its around -1C but dry, and the Mustang will perform just as good as any other car.
:coolphotos:
On summer tires You will get stuck. I was going backwards on a hill with two people pushing me just the other day. Here comes the tow truck. Now admittedly I went where I shouldn't have.

You sure your spare set are summer tires?

There are spots you have no control over, trying to pull out you have to stop or wreck, now you're stuck.

I will say 100 lbs of salt in the back doesn't hurt anything.

Awesome pics of everyone's cars running year round. Here in Houston, our winter driving / racing looks more like this:
