Finally got around to deleting the sound tube. I can't believe I waited to long. Engine bay looks way better.
Does it make a quiet stock car even quieter?

I never really noticed the sound, but I'm loading another tune right now and I'll take her for a spin and let you know if I can tell. Initial thought is doubtful but it looks better and it's a free mod :)

Yeah, I suppose removing ANY part is a free mod.

Still, among so many pipes, cables, and hoses, what's one more? ;)

Yea. I really want to pull the sound tube also. Any advice on that little nut at the firewall

All i did was tug on the sound tube. A couple hard pulls and it came off in less than 30 seconds. Did not have to worry about the nylock nut.

Took me about 3 minutes. Just use a regular 1/4" rachet and a 10mm deep-well. Run your arm though the area behind the intake and in front of the brake lines and I got right to it. See the DIY section

Well, test drive done. Didn't notice anything different with sound. JLT CAI on now, so I can hear the engine open up a bit more, but nothing changed in-cabin

Was actually done last night but finally got the lights tinted. I had the headlights, turn signals, fogs, quarter panel reds, and reverse light done. I chose not to do the tails because of the chrome trim and I didn't do the mirror turn signals, third brake, or rear red reflectors because they're all pretty small/slim so bother. I'm really loving the blacked out front end.

*sorry for blurry pic, was taken from office window
*replaced with a better pic but cloudy outside

Long skinny arms really help. My Bro in law said he had a certain mechanic rating in the military due to his long skinny armed ability to work in the dark on equipment.

I was a mech for 8 years. I'm generally short and tubby. Arms like stumps haha. I just learned to work through pain.

I can't tell if it's the angle or if you're raked. What springs are you on? Looks good, either way

Looks like the sun is out up that way near home! My dogs should be happy. I am down here in South Ga working. Valdosta is down the road, maybe I will go visit them Steeda boys.
