My Friend, it's an American thing. I still get choked up when I hear the National Anthem, Star Spangled Banner, when I put my uniform on every day and head to work. My Flag is hung at half mast the day of and I play a "where were you" power point for my guys at work during briefing if i'm working that day. I remind these young kids working for me what took place on that day, educate and remind them. True Americans will never let that day be forgotten.

Trust me, it's global. I got my eyes wet every time I see something related to 09/11. :(

Get USAA insurance.

A USAA insurance card will often prompt a LEO to ask what branch you're in.

Getting out of any ticket is a good day! Called USAA several times for quotes & they're $30-$35 more / month than State Farm, so I won't switch.

My USAA insurance is a good deal cheaper than 21st, Allstate, State Farm, and Geico.

I also like the dividend check every year!

What makes USAA higher for me is my motorcycles 2006 Honda Shadow & 2013 Honda Goldwing), USAA doesn't cover motorcycles. So they sub that coverage out to Progessive...had them before, more expensive for motorcycles.

My USAA is almost a third cheaper up here in Mn. And they're great with claims.

I have USAA insurance... hasn't ever stopped me from getting a ticket. I've been pulled over probably thirty times in my life and have gotten... four? five? tickets, something like that (only one speeding), but no officer has ever commented on military service or USAA.

I can't believe you actually get that plate... 1) Figured DMV would reject it, 2) Figured someone else would have it already if 1) didn't happen.
