So I pulled the motor on my GT350 to start the Cross Plane Plank conversion and the problem I’m having is that I cannot separate the transmission from the engine block. The dowels in the engine block are separated, but I can’t get separating from the input shaft. Any ideas would help right about now

Try turning the crank a bit. Have you used a dead blow and worked both sides of the bell housing? Not extreme force or anything but some decent taps

Might seem like day one stuff, but make sure the centerline of the engine and the transmission are parallel.

Looks like the car gods are saying you need a new engine (Aluminator XS ideally) AND transmission (and clutch).

LOL, sorry, I am no help. I just want someone to do what I am doing in three years, so I can know all the problems that are to come!

dumb questions first: is the started removed?

Second statement: If it's not coming out, the input shaft is seized up in either the clutch discs or the pilot bearing. From the angle you took the pick it looks like the trans is tail down to a parallel sitting engine. Trying leveling out the transmission then working it out wiggling the tailshaft side to side

Glad you got the trans removed. When I replaced my tech pack trans with the track pack version I had to use a come along to pull the original transmission away from the engine. But it was the dowel pins that were stuck. Once the engine and trans are out of the car, it becomes a little more difficult.
