Uhh what? 17k in sales tax?I'm curious that almost no one mentions the impact of state taxes on the deal. What are the usual state taxes on msrp?
Look at my math. In PR, a base Shelby at MSRP would pay 17k in state taxes. That's roughly a 74k car. Add the tech pak, that's another 8k (by now at least 82k without other options).
There are pleanty of GT350's with tech paks in PR (at least 6) sitting on dealerships asking for 28k, yes, 28k over MSRP. 110k for a Shelby. :( There's a lot of collusion going on to fix prices, so no dealership will deal at MSRP.
So, I would not complain if I had to pay 5k ADM.
Being in cali this will be next to impossible to find. Your only choice is getting used in which u might end up paying msrp + tax/title/license.Looking for something that's more rare than an GT350 R.
Base 2016 GT350 in solid blue @ MSRP
No factor in some states. I live in South Carolina for instance. Sales tax on cars here is capped at $300, period.I'm curious that almost no one mentions the impact of state taxes on the deal. What are the usual state taxes on msrp?

I am currently looking out of state. MSRP or bust for me, and I don't want to wait for 2017 base, as that'll be a track pack(which I don't need) and consequent ~+$5k price increase.Being in cali this will be next to impossible to find. I wonder how those out of state registered the car for cali, it is new, but are you required to smog? I've purchased a used car from the east coast and cali registration was $$$.
One other way to getting msrp would be waiting for the gt500 to arrive to bring gt350 hype down.
I saw you mention this before. Are the taxes different on used vs new in cali? In FL, it seems like it would be illegal...but - if I buy a new car, I pay taxes on it...if I sell it a week later, the new owner pays taxes AGAIN on the new sales price.Being in cali this will be next to impossible to find. I know if you buy used private party, no one pays taxes. You buy used on a dealer lot, you pay taxes againI saw you mention this before. Are the taxes different on used vs new in cali? Here you pay the tax at point of transfer if you paid more than 6% out of state from a dealer they refund you. If you paid less you pay the difference. Private party pays tax on book value.I know if you buy used private party, no one pays taxes. You buy used on a dealer lot, you pay taxes again
You will have to find a dealer that has a '16 R allocation as '17 allocations have not dropped yet. So to answer your questions, yes and no.Hi,
New guy here. Is it still possible to order a 350R? A 2017 R?
Thanks
