I picked up my GT last thursday and bunged it on the hoist to check firstly how bad the black paint splatter was(actually not as bad as I've seen previously) and see what I'm going to do first in the mods dept. The exhaust certainly has some quirky aspects with pipe diameter.....
1st pic is the after cat pipe
2nd is the pinch out pf the resonator
3rd is going under the diff
4th is the worst saved for last... the flexi-joint for the right hand side before going into resonator. less than 2" I.D. !?!?! I suppose they figured it didn't matter as it was already crimped to hell getting around the starter motor!?

Well it depends. I'm thinking I want to stay NA but I'm wary of over doing the pipe diameter and I know that although those stock headers look ugly they actually do a damn good job of retaining bottom end. But, maybe I should forget about retaining the low end and wack 3.73's in it and go twin 3 and 4 into 1's.

you can play with the cam tune to help compensate a bit down low
