the 2650 blower is the shit, the torque production is crazy. number's wise we went 10.5@135 on 11psi/590rwhp/4150lbs/91-93octane
we are looking forward to see just how far it can go, especially with the mod Edelbrock is bringing out and a little more tweaking.
i don't know the history between Edelbrock and Whipple, so i can't base off past threads. i messaged Whipple_SC provided more info and set all the record straight. was no aggression back, found him to be courteous and respectful to not just myself, but the product as well.
you have 2 companies...
the dyno run was in 4th/1.14 gear ratio.
the tunes from Edelbrock are fine, obviously conservative as they are warrantied. Apart from that no driving or starting issues, being a different country and a very different exhaust system, logs for their Stage 1 & 2 were sent and they setup to...
it made just on 300rwhp stock. the car weighs 4133lbs with driver, it's a PP (RaceStar wheels, M/T ET Street R tyres) 1/2 tank of fuel and 290-300lb driver. 11psi revving to 7200rpm at strip.
the dyno shows what it shows, there's been a few cars come off it and we look at it each other and...
the IAT's were the hottest on the 10.5@135mph, the pass before was 27 minutes earlier, we played around with tune, then 15 minutes of car running waiting in the staging lanes, idling down to run again.
thanks mate
install for the average bloke would be a medium, Edelbrock has it all planned out pretty good in the instructions. we did the 2nd one in about 6 hours start to finish, 1 person, but you will need a 2nd person to help with actually putting the blower on, being an inverted blower...
it's because blower's wish they could be turbo car's and have a flat power curve and still run quick :lol::lol:i'm sure we all know why it does it, we've spoken with all involved and they have been very receptive.
we love the Whipple's we've got Aussie and World record 6.4 Hemi's using...
the car weighs 4133lbs, it's a Premium/Performance Pack plus driver is 300lbs, had 1/2 tank fuel was a 1.59 60' the NA car's are a fair bit lighter. the car is on Australian 98-octane, which is somewhere in between a US 91-93 octane fuel. going off 135mph and 4133lbs, the car is seeing around...
a bit from down under, Edelbrock 2650 Stage 2 with full exhaust, 1000cc injectors and Ford Performance FR3 track pack went 10.57@135, this was done by the boys @ Northmead Auto Centre in Sydney, Australia. 91-93octane, no octane booster, 10.8psi peak, 6R80. this is the first time out with the...
the boys @ Northmead Auto Centre took out their TVS2650 6-speed auto car to Sydney Dragway last night, 10.5psi boost on 98-octane, the car ran 10.57@135, the time was run using their exhaust system, ID1050x injectors and Ford Performance FR3 track kit with street radials
i'm surprised they never caught on, it's the way pretty much everyone going big power here does it. we are probably the first in Australia with the S550. the one under will be nicer, leaves the trunk free. i do like the in-tank ones, just never been able to fully trust them 100%, seen many not...
well done, great numbers, can't wait to see what it runs at the track, i'd say 8.8@152 if all the star's align.
under 3600lbs with driver, WOW! do you have a weight reduction thread haha? we are in @ 4150lbs with a PP, TT and 280lbs driver. looking to take some weight out
